OK has the potential to make some noise this year, but their fans are surprisingly weak. Empty half court seats etc. Kinda embarrassed for them. You don't get to knock off a top 10 often.

They didn't even rush the floor. Must've been there before.

I think KU and ISU have the only fanbases in the conference that give a **** about basketball. Purely based on fan support at their own arenas. OU had a top 10 team visiting on a Saturday with no weather issues and they were maybe at 50% capacity.

Very pathetic. I can't believe OU cant draw better crowds for a good team. I seem to remember that place being pretty full 10 years ago or so.

Honestly if we had to compete with a professional organization for basketball attendance our attendance would be as good as it is. It helps not having any pro sports in Iowa.

Weak thread...they beat us so make yourself feel better because of lack of fans at the game.
Its just annoying hearing about mighty Oklahoma in the media then seeing an empty court. I'd be more satisfied with a lost if it was packed and ruckus in there. Bad representation of B12 bball.

They also have a much higher population in Oklahoma and around the Norman area. Still pathetic.

I think is the OKC Thunder effect, especially given Norman's proximity to OKC. There were $7 tickets available for the KU game on Wednesday. OSU's attendance dropped off too.

Did anyone else notice the sudden surge of ISU fans behind the bench near the end of the game? They were empty for awhile, and it's like all the ISU fans suddenly realized those seats weren't being filled and congregated there.

Somewhere in the U.S.
It seems to be the trend with some schools though, as far as their basketball teams are concerned. The UCLA/Arizona game the other night was an example. Pauley Pavilion seats under 14,000, but it looked like there were about 10,000 maybe for the no. 1 team in the country against 12-2 UCLA, who had just killed USC. And this is in a city of over 10 million people!

There are exceptions, like ISU, KU, Syracuse, etc.....but it seems college basketball attendance is slipping around the country.

That Boomer sooner chant really P.SSED me off. If i was in attendance I would no doubt be telling every fan there to f.ck off regardless of children being near by lol
