Colby Reeder Commits!

Why would anyone that isn’t going to get drafted in the first 4 or 5 rounds and has eligibility remaining not come back?
Some positions get penalized pretty badly by the NFL for age reasons. Running back especially, but I'm mostly with you.

I think the new recruiting reality is just going to be more upheaval every off season with more decommitments and last minute craziness. It's not necessarily doom and gloom as a few posters on here think with the NIL and one free transfer. We can get some great pick-ups, like Reeder, who we poach from the top FCS programs or group of 5 teams that might even be future pros.

Great pick-up. Welcome aboard! Been a whirlwind following recruiting and transfers the last few days, but lots of very positive news of late!

If the bold is true HOLY ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that proves true and Hutchinson somehow comes back - and we pick up that burner from NMSU - the receiving corps suddenly becomes incredibly solid and a top Big XII unit even. Would be awesome!

Selfishly, please be true, but I also completely understand and expect Hutchinson to go pro / leave.

Especially with a QB that can probably throw it 70 yards now.

Dekkers 67 yards

I do too. But he's welcome to return wholeheartedly. NFL is hard to predict. I can't remember what late round Hakeem went in (or was his a FA contract?), but I thought sure he would make it. Just as much as Lazard actually. But obviously they are far different.

Butler went 4th round.

Lazard went undrafted. Undrafted!!!!

This could really increase Hutchinson’s NFL chances. He has shown the ability to catch balls in traffic and run short to medium routes. Connecting on some deep routes would make him a legitimate prospect.

I think he has it in him, too. He badly beat the Iowa CB on a deep route this year but was held and the ball was late/underthrown. Hopefully the OL can give Dekkers the time to utilize that arm strength.

He might just not have the speed to run deep routes. I realize Purdy's lack of arm strength limits our down field passing game, but that didn't stop him from completing many deep balls to both Lazard and Butler.

We need more high-profile, high-impact transfers, especially at the skill positions, to join the team.

Problem is, the real high-profile and high-impact at skill positions are probably going to the draft or staying at (or heading to) blue bloods.

Why can't Campbell get them to ISU? Hopefully he can and "build the Program" as he stated. We should have high expectations now.
