The coaching carousel is in full swing. Power grabs are causing fans to clench their butt cheeks out of concern that their coach - theirs! - might take a job at a school that ALLEGEDLY has better tradition or a higher pay. As fans, your job is to sniff out the schools trying to poach your coach and help him understand that he needs to stay!

Players
The Good Guys
The Head Coach
  • This person is the most important in the game. They are college football's crowned "next big hire" for schools everywhere. Specifically, they are the target of:
    • The Blue Bloods
    • The Mega Donors
    • The TV Broadcaster
    • The NCAA Sanctioner
  • As The Head Coach, this player is also the top recruiter for the school and therefore gets an investigation nightly. This investigation is carried with them to other schools or organizations if they leave.
The Fallback Coach
  • Once considered the greatest coach in your school's history, this player's work has been outdone by the recent accolades of The Head Coach. This player has the ability to assuage fans if The Head Coach is lost and thus has the ability to protect/heal/whatever one player each night (this is not at all dependent on The Head Coach, just made for a good write-up. They're the doctor).
The Top Assistant
  • This player is loyal - FOREVER - to The Head Coach's current school. If The Head Coach leaves for another school, The Top Assistant takes over the abilities of The Head Coach but remains The Top Assistant and CANNOT be recruited to another school.
The AD
  • This player is trying to counter any and all attempts to poach The Head Coach. As such, they are allotted one night hit during each two day period (i.e. they can kill once in day 1 and 2, once in day 3 and 4, etc.). If the AD can successfully off someone who poached The Head Coach, they will bring The Head Coach BACK to their school. This will obviously cause all sorts of mayhem, which I am wont to do.
The Fall Guy Assistant
  • Sometimes things aren't going as well as they should. Special teams isn't performing up to expectations and some fans want change. For this player, that's bad. Heck, this player didn't even know they were the special teams coach, they thought it was a myth. If things are looking dicey for the AD (or if the AD thinks things are looking dicey for The Head Coach) they can choose to "fire" The Fall Guy. This simply switches The Fall Guy Assistant's votes with the player of the AD's choosing at the end of the day. This will not be announced unless The Fall Guy Assistant or the player whose votes are swapped end up eliminated.
Fans
  • The remaining players are all fans. Some are disgruntled fans, expecting more from The Head Coach and willing to let him leave for greener pastures. Some are happy fans, wanting The Head Coach to stay and continue to build a storied program. If the number of disgruntled fans equals or exceeds the number of happy fans The Head Coach is potentially heading for another school...
The Bad Guys (Blue Bloods)
The Blue Blood AD
  • This player offers a player the opportunity to coach at their school on a semi-nightly basis (odd nights). If The Head Coach is offered AND The Head Coach's support is at or below 50% then The Head Coach joins the Blue Bloods. If The Head Coach is currently working for the Other Bad Guys, recruitment fails.
The Scouting Firm
  • This player can check the role of any player on a nightly basis.
The Other Bad Guys ($$$)
The Mega Donor
  • This player is literally made of money. They are willing to pay anything at all (up to $25 million per year, let's be reasonable here) to get The Head Coach to come to their school. They can offer The Head Coach a job on a semi-nightly basis (even nights). If The Head Coach is offered AND The Head Coach's support is at or below 50% then The Head Coach joins the Other Bad Guys. If The Head Coach is currently working for the Blue Bloods poaching fails.
The Scouting Firm Deux
  • This player can check the role of any player on a nightly basis.
The Neutrals
TV Broadcaster
  • This player's goal is to poach The Head Coach and/or the Blue Blood AD. They choose a player semi-nightly (even nights) to recruit for their Saturday morning pre-game show. If they can do this, they will have the most successful pre-game show ever and if their pre-game show can survive until the end of the game, they win. Note that this player can continue attempting to poach if they successfully poach one of the two. If the Blue Blood AD is recruited that player loses their own recruitment power.
NCAA Sanctioner
  • Look, the NCAA somehow always wins. So this player automatically wins. But, to make it interesting, this player has the ability to sanction any of the three universities. To do this, the NCAA Sanctioner chooses one player nightly. If they happen to choose The Head Coach, The Blue Blood AD or The Mega Donor, the NCAA will begin an investigation. At the beginning of the following day the mayor will announce the school is under investigation (e.g. if NCAA Sanctioner chooses The Head Coach night 2, announcement comes start of day 3). The NCAA Sanctioner can choose to say they know who the player is under investigation or not. After 3 days the NCAA Sanctioner concludes their investigation and decides if they want to sanction the player (kill them).
  • This player's PRIMARY goal is to survive past The Head Coach, The Blue Blood AD and The Mega Donor. If they can do this, they really really win. If both mafias are eliminated before The Head Coach, they cannot win.
Win
  • The Good Guys: eliminate the two mafias
  • The Blue Bloods: eliminate the Other Bad Guys and have more people remaining than Good Guy + Neutral survivors
  • The Other Bad Guys: eliminate the Blue Bloods and have more people remaining than Good Guy + Neutral survivors
  • TV Broadcaster: have more people remaining than all other survivors (difficulty: extreme)
  • NCAA Sanctioner: outlast The Head Coach, The Blue Blood AD and The Mega Donor

  • Eggplant
