What on earth is Jefferson doing out there? He is a good passer but he isn't good enough handling the ball to cut through the whole defense. Our ball handling has been awful all year and its really starting to bite us as teams get more tape and the long season settles in. Still a very good team but they were approaching the Fizer/Tinsely trajectory up until WVU and 'Mom got hurt.
Absolute nonsense. With our full roster we are a top 10 offense. And 1 loss to Auburn
Coach Nate isn’t impressive, we’re technically top 25 this year but I’d attribute that more to having some guys who can flat out score. Our half court offense is usually really bad and just isolations. We need a real offensive coach to take a true next step
That's a full season metric though.
I don't have kenpom sub so I don't know if you can look up the same there, but if you look at Torvik since the Arizona game, we're playing like the #43 team (so basically a bubble team on that stretch) and playing like the #76 rated offense. TO%? 344. Atrocious.
How often does a team make it through a season with a full roster? Need to be able to adapt and make adjustments
Ok coach K. We almost beat a top 5 Houston team with top 2 scorers out! Not like they haven’t made adjustments. Guys were just off tonight good grief people get a grip. Let’s fire coaches that makes sense
There isn't enough movement off the ball, tj says this constantly. But it never has changed. It's all ball screen and kick. We don't really play matchups a ton, some but not much other than whatever we get off the ball screen. Results in a lot of standing from 2 guys. Don't really run many sets when we need a hoop. Our actions are really common and vanilla. Just really easy to guard as the season goes on.

Most the time. Who can you think of being out a long time besides Hali for the 2nd half of the season? Niang NCAA broken foot? If it was just CuJo 1 game and Keshon 2 games you'd have a point. This isn't foosball.
Does anybody know if any of the analytic sites have a momentum metric or something to show a team’s trend? We were playing like a final four contender until the very beginning of big 12 play, but since then I would bet we are kind of middle of the road.
Diesn't matter what you run if you don't simply value the ball and be patient.
You should definitely email TJ and let him know you have their offensive “problems” figured out and maybe he will fire Schmidt and hire you
There is, but they don't matter. KSU was #1 in the country in their run, and we were like top 5 full strength after Milan came back. Couldn't tell you how to find it though, just reporting what I read.
Players turn it over way too much. Pretty sure that's not in the game plan.
No question about it that our offensive kenpom numbers have been on the slide last few weeks from top 10 to top 25.
How much of that is Milan missing games? How much is due to coaching? How much is due to other teams figuring out our players tendencies and our offensive sets? Do we have enough talent to overcome that? Is it coaches fault players compete who can have more unforced dumb TOs? I guess maybe because they recruited those players.

We did but that was Saturday. Tonight, we had the same effort as we did against K State. It’s less about adjustments and more about effort which is what is supposed to be the culture of this team.
There was a series where we missed a shot and an OSU guy served the rebound from going out of bounds and then reestablished and got the ball while we had no one go after it. Then we got outworked on the offensive glass on their possession. Those are plays that we work harder than other teams to win games while getting more than our share of 50/50 balls but against K State and OKie State we didn’t work harder than they did.
