One thing I thought was really promising was how Coach Campbell talked about Kene being fully healthy for the first time. He credited new S&C Coach Dave Andrews with helping there.

Kene can be a game changer

It was fun when he said that he thinks that Zach Petersen looks like the Incredible Hulk.

Speaking of Zachs, apparently Zach Ross is finally healthy, and CMC said it’s nice to see him moving around out there.

That should add to the G/C depth and flexibility.

Skimming across the OL, CMC mentioned pretty much every returning scholarship player as being impressive. He listed Sean Foster and Grant Treiber in the same breath, which kinda surprised me. Opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of both foot quickness and experience.

The other surprise was that of the true freshmen, he thought to mention Tyler Miller (not so surprising) and Brady Petersen (surprising).

Tyler was around for Spring, and apparently got some S&C work in—but Brady wasn’t and I thought he’d be a bit more raw with pass protection. I was also a bit surprised that Hayden Pauls, the other OL early enrollee, wasn’t mentioned.

CMC did say it was still way too early to name potential OL starters.

Oh yes. Lawrence White mentioned Isheem Young and T.J. Tampa as two young defensive backs who were really impressive so far—then said they weren’t the only ones.

Me likey this team!

Good to hear about Kene. Guy is electric when healthy, but it seems like the last time that was the case was the beginning of his freshman year. Would be cool to see him get to the edge in the first game.

Right now I am just hoping there will be a first game. I have seen so many things cancelled the last minute this year.
