Clemson vs Alabama

It's a smart play, regardless. Clemson is banking on the refs letting them play, which was a good gamble considering the way they'd been calling the game to that point. Plus, it was probably the last play of the game. Most times, refs are going to let all but the most blatant penalties go in that situation.

Sure. I didn't have a problem with it. You see teams run pick plays all the time amd it is difficult to penalize. I was just amused that Watson was openly admitting they were running a pick play.

Looked like it was going to be a snoozer, but ended up being an outstanding game. Happy for Clemson to knock off the Tide and its famous defense. 21 points in fourth quarter. Hah!

Spotted them two turnovers and still pulled it out. Lack of passing from Hurts (other than busted TE touchdown) was the difference.

Gutsy call to go for it from the 2 with 6 seconds left. Would have been understandable to kick the FG for OT, but there was just enough time and they made it work.

Man that was late though. Cannot imagine being on East Coast.

I like how Watson admitted it was a pick on the winning touchdown in his post game interview. Not that it matters...everyone knows it was.
I won 109 bucks because my friend accidentally put my 50 dollar Clemson Cover bet on the money line. Best mistake I've been a part of

is cybookie real money? if not what's the point? serious question

Did anybody else watch the ESPN coverage with Paul Feinbaum, "Booger" (an Alabama d-lineman), McElroy (an Alabama QB), and the Florida coach? I thought it would be horrible, but it was really pretty good. Surprisingly, the Alabama guys never rooted for Alabama. They told inside stories from their experience, but never cheered when Alabama did something well or groaned when Clemson did. The objectivity, insight, and candor was really quite enjoyable. And Paul Feinbaum just moderated and threw out a few jokes about Alabama fans every once in a while.

I did not, but would have if I knew they were on. I think Booger went to FSU or LSU not Bama. He's pretty funny and is a nice change up from other football commentators in that he doesn't seem to take himself or the job too seriously.

I suppose you really can't take yourself too seriously when you go by Booger.

The last play wasn't really a penalty, but Watson did call it a pick and clearly the intention was to pick the defender. The play earlier in the game was a penalty and should have been called as the reciever was clearly interfering with both defenders.

When you get to the NFL call it a "man beater" Deshaun!

Did Dabo ever say anything about Cowherd until he won? Seems he at least had a better response to the trolling than Hok fans, but that sets a pretty low bar.
That's the way you have to play it, though, if you're the coach. You can't comment until you win. You can't even acknowledge that you even know what he said. When you do win, though, you go both barrels.

And Dabo sure did. Steve Smith let him have it on the Herd today as well. Really made Cowherd look foolish as Smith ripped him for calling college kids frauds.

I loved on the final play that Leggett put his hands up as if to call for the ball, as if he didn't purposefully just push his defender into the other defender. I truly don't know if that is the reason why it didn't get called, but it seemed as though ( i think ) Kirk Herbstreit said that he did it to act as if it were a normal football play and it worked perfectly. It is crappy for Bama, but well played by Clemson.
