Somebody unlocked the bullpen tonight...Hate it when that happens...Total waste of payroll.

Last night really sucked. I mean, it was great calling up my dad and wishing him a happy birthday. We talked on the phone and watched the game "together," which was totally great. I really miss being able to sit around and watch Reds games with him like I could when I was a kid. And then, literally seconds after I hung up the phone at the end of our conversation, Addison Russell hit that dinger.

Well at least you hung up before getting your heart ripped out. It would have been worse if you were mid-sentence with your pops, "Happy birthday dad, I really miss... OH ****! YOU ******* SACK OF **** GOD DAMN IT! Oh sorry dad. Happy birthday."
Welcome to the Suck! Jumbo Diaz SUCKED last year, and he continues to SUCK this year. He is the worst component of a terrible bullpen. Waste of payroll!

I told my daughter to expect the first 100 loss season in her lifetime.
I still remember where I was when Benzinger made the last out of the 90 series (in my kitchen in my apt, on Florida Street, listening to Marty and Joe on my radio that could pick up WLW at night while watching it on tv). Was a senior at ISU at the time. Hell, I even remember where I was during 75 and 76.
I am sad to think that my daughters may never see a Reds world championship or a Bengals Super Bowl.
But, just like the Cyclones, I will follow and cheer for them regardless of how good or bad they are.

Just bumping this since it's been a month now. 2-9 in the last eleven games. 15-26 overall.
Another few weeks of this and I'm going to have to start feeding Cha-Cha real dogfood.
