Not good.

Cincinnati:
Red Zone Offense: #1 at 100%
Offensive Passing Efficiency: #7
Passing Yards per Completion: #11 at 14.4 yards
Passing Completion Percentage: #23 at 69%
Passing Offense: #25

Iowa State:
Defensive Passing Efficiency: #31
Passing Yards Allowed: #52
Red Zone Defense: tied at #66 allowing 83% of red zone appearances to score.
Arizona had a Top 20 Def coming into the game with us.. oh wait a minute - Rocco just completed another 40 yard pass....

Kansas may have the worst def in the Big XII and Cincy hasn't played anyone else with a heartbeat.

This is a tough game but you win games like this if you are going to win a CC.

My gut says take the under in this game and watch Heacock deliver the Mother of All Anaconda's on Cincy in 2nd half. We just need to be within a score at half.

Yep. I was very confident about the AZ game, but if you looked at Arizona’s defensive stats before the game, they were extremely impressive. Small sample size and not many games against good competition.

Au contraire, I think I’d take the over. And that has little to do with how much they might score. This offense is starting to come into its own.

TL/DR Soresby elite against zone defense which is what ISU defense runs. Now ISU down two starting CBs.

Yeah, I saw this. I think it has more to do with Cincy has only played one defense with a pulse, Nebraska. We will see how Soresby does against ISUs defense. He sucked passing against it last year.

Since when does Nebraska’s defense have a pulse?
They're ranked 13th in yards given up per game. I don't think they are elite or anything, but better than any other team Cincy has played. Having a pulse doesn't mean I think they are the 85 bears.

No, you're right. That's Cincinnati.

If you are referring to our offense, I agree. However, I think we are going to try to play time of possession ball to cut the def some slack.

I'll go 27-26, good guys. They outgain us but def is solid in the red zone when pressure is off the secondary.

I disagree. Mouser plays to the opponents’ weakness.

Did you see what Daniels did last week?

Two of their other three games were against Akron and Houston Christian, and they gave up 391 yards at home to a bad Michigan offense.

Are you sure that’s a pulse?

Lol! OK fine. Nebraska D sucks and Cincy passing game still struggled against them. Even better for ISU. Happy? Jeebus.

I’m hoping the showing at Ark St is an opportunity for the staff to point out to the players that all road games are a challenge. It is also good that the message coming from Vegas is that a high ranking means nothing. Hope they come out in a similar fashion as Arizona and dominate immediately. The weakened corner DB’s is a concern. 27-17 Clones

My gut says take the over on Cincy fg’s. I think with the young corners, Heacock will have an extreme bend but don’t break defensive plan. He’ll give the offense short passes, keep everything in front of you and assume the offense will mess up or get greedy. Then, shut them down in the red zone. This will lead to fg’s by cincy if they are patient enough to take what is given to them.

Cincy will score. They're clicking, balanced, and playing at home. ISU is dinged up at corner, and maybe the DL. I think it will take 30 to win this one. Happily, Rocco & Co are capable.

I think as long as the offense doesn't play constipated they will be OK. But if the offense stagnates... Cincy def can win this game. But no fun predicting an L, so... ISU 35, Cincy 26.
