I guess I knew Christopher plummer was in sound of music and I knew Christopher plummer was in movies like knives out and beautiful mind. But it never clicked that it was the same guy until now.

I don’t believe he was the actual singer, but I could be wrong.

He was also in a little known WWII flick with Harrison Ford and Leslie-Anne Down called Hanover Street. It's not an Oscar worthy movie, but it's a pleasant diversion.

Most of it was over-dubbed like the above (parts were actually him). My comment stems from an interview I saw with Julie Andrews years ago where she commented that it was a shame that they did that, because he could actually sing quite well. They dubbed him because he couldn't hold the long notes like Julie could. She's tough to compete with, for sure.

Plummer portraying Mike Wallace in The Insider is an all time great performance. Should have been nominated for his CBS office tirade alone.

It's funny seeing people realize today that Amanda Plummer is his daughter. Not many would guess his daughter is Honey Bunny in Pulp Fiction where she and Tim Roth rob the restaurant.



She has never been a leading actress but some memorable roles for sure:

The Fisher King (opposite Robin Williams)

Pulp Fiction

After that she's really fell to no-name movies and roles until recently when she was in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and then the tv show Ratched this past year.
