Chicago State game canceled

Not only is Chicago St. down to a limited number of players, they have been down to only one coach (an assistant) at times this year.

Lance Irvin their head coach is a former Iowa State assistant under Larry.

And Rodell Davis played for UI in the late 80s/early 90s.

got me curious about transfers, Jakolby Long is averaging about a 1 a game for S. Illinois. T Lewis is not playing this year.

Look, I get it that the Clones are not good this year, and most of that was expected, but they are never going to get better without playing games. Just have to take their lumps and figure out what works at this point.

Prohm has not done a great job, but ISU is not going to get rid of him in a pandemic year, You might as well support the guys that are out there trying.

I’m not a strong BBall guy but I do believe there’s some “Where the f*ck did that come from” wins that will happen. Similarly to what happened in Morgantown. I think the limited fans are ultimately gonna help us because there’s less to get rattled by on the road as the guys try to continue to gel

Except when half the team transfers. Anyone with decent talent isn't hanging around with Prohm. So yea, losing by 30 to KU might make some freshman slightly better, but they’re transferring ASAP so what’s the point.

still don't get why we aren't trying to schedule the likes of drake and uni? idc if we lose.

I can't speak to Drake, but UNI recently cancelled a couple of road games against Wisconsin and Marshall due to being ravaged by injuries (AJ Green had hip surgery and is out for the season) as well as needing a mental health break and time to be with their families during the holiday. They don't play again until next weekend in the MVC opener.

Is it going to become normal in future seasons to just cancel games for reasons like you mentioned? I sure hope not. If that’s truly why UNI cancelled, it seems like programs are now using COVID as an excuse to make it okay to not play games. I hope it doesn’t become a trend in the future.

I support the kids. I hope ISU wins every game they play. I still can think prohm is not the right coach for isu going forward and that Jamie needs to make a change as soon as they can gather the finances after this season or next.

I hate this mindset from some fans that if you critique the coach or the players that you’re not a true fan. Sitting on your hands and keeping your mouth shut because “nothing will change” or “it could be worse” is loser mentality.

Has there even been one player hospitalized yet in the country for covid? The SEC and Big 12 basically played full football season. Point me to the obituaries where they all died.

Yes, and you said “at risk” not dead. Dying isn’t the only consequence to contracting the virus.

I don't know. It's gotta be for the best to ignore the risks whenever we can. It's worked for 300,000 and more so far, so it's pretty effective.
