NFL: ***Chicago Bears 2025 Thread***

USC QB's in the NFL no bueno

There's truth to this but is there a school that has an actual good record of QBs consistently lasting in the league?

Seems more like a random deal that relies on fit no matter where the player went to school.

I'm not an official, but is the hold called because he 'jumped onto' the defender, thereby limiting the defender's ability to recover? The official didn't really seem to motion towards his flag until the OL left his feet.

I look at it from position drafted and number of them taken. The odds say they should have a couple of them that stick.

USC have receivers stick in the NFL, London Addison, St Brown, others. Kind of tells me the SC QBs get to throw some real talented guys who help QBs alot.

Bama/OU seems to have a decent record of guys sticking.

And I think we are seeing guys who have played a larger number of college games have a higher probability of success.

Doesn't Georgia too?

I understand the reasoning on if a kick returner has a foot out of bounds and grabs the ball it’s considered a kick out of bounds. Detroit’s guy jumped from in bounds, caught the ball, then landed out with it to get the penalty. That seems like they should spot that as a returner that ran out.

Was Williams this inaccurate last year? Seems like his accuracy has regressed. His movement in the pocket is great but it’s the NFL, accuracy is key.

He overthrew guys all the time, and was horribly inaccurate on long throws.

The offense seems like sometimes it’s marginally better, and the defense is horrendous.

Time to start reading up on 2026 draft prospects.

I would say at least the Bears will get a high draft pick, but they need like.. a whole new team. The Ben Johnson era is likely over before it begins with how deep in the hole they are.
