NFL: ***Chicago Bears 2025 Thread***

I think its more the Bears just suck

I'm not saying the Bears don't suck; I live in metro Detroit - you don't understand how long this game has been circled on the calendar. It was probably shortly after Johnson took the Bears job, and then had the offense absolutely unprepared to play the Commanders that week. You know - trying to throw the ball against - what was it? - the 30th worst rushing defense in the league?

I think you totally underestimate the anger behind the Johnson hire - and, FTR, Aaron Glenn doesn't suffer from anywhere near that kind of anger - in fact, the Lions fans wished him well. It's not that the Lions' coordinators were hired; it was the circumstances behind both hires that has led to the differing attitudes directed at the former coordinators.

Bears post-game show is absolutely killing this team.

Ryan Poles - you can identify his failures better than his successes. And that's the nice statements

Poles sucks. Hey, lets draft a TE in the first round and not target him at all. The defense sucks. #29 should've been cut after Washington last year. But there he is, on the field not covering anybody. This franchise is cursed.

I would not be shocked if it turns out Johnson is just a good self promoter. But unless they ditch Poles I expect his tenure with the Bears will end with him in 3 or 4 years. And then they’ll start over, from scratch. Again.

Ozzy Trapilo a healthy inactive yet again.

Shemar Turner active for the first time. Though, I'm guessing it's because of the other injuries stacking up and someone who has been an inactive has to be active.

The misses by Ryan Poles continue to stack up.

Mark Schlereth made a good point on the Rich Eisen show

Matt Eberflus finally figured out how to get the best out of Caleb Williams.
