Obviously we don't know what Fred's stance is, but I can make the argument that Fred thinks this kid is a loser and BDJ is fine. It will be in the middle, but it goes both ways.

I'm guessing that is a pretty weak argument, because even if CFH did think that about this neighbor, I doubt he would express that to BDJ or the neighbor. If CFH and BDJ agreed the bad behavior should have stopped, then it should have stopped. If it didn't...then that is on BDJ, and CFH needs to deal with it.

"I came home one day and I noticed there was a note on their door," White said. "Someone else posted it, it was not me. Someone wrote them a nice handwritten letter that said this is what you guys are doing; we do not appreciate it. We would like it if you guys showed more respect.
"A couple hours later that note was on my door with the words 'suck my d***' written on it because they thought I did it. I shrugged it off, put it back on their door and later that night they came pounding on my door with the letter. They were drunk and fights almost happened that night."
White said he has felt physically threatened before but does not believe that Dejean-Jones or his roommate will pursue physical violence.
"I do not feel like they are going to try and do anything physical towards me, but when my mom and friends come over, nobody likes being here," White said.
A person inside Dejean-Jones' apartment did not open the door and declined to comment.

Contrary to popular belief being in college doesn't give you a free pass to be an ******* without consequences. I take all this with a grain of salt because the truth is rarely at one extreme or the other, but to say that they're in college so throwing trash or puking in the hallways is ok or even expected is ********.

Actually it makes me think this is much more a personal issue. It's ibvious the wrestler was ******. It's obvious bdj didn't like the wrestler. Both are dicks. Nothing done warrants a suspension from my view. Fred may disagree.

I"m not eliminating that at all, but it really is besides the point. So what you are saying is that because the neighbor might be a whiny little brat, that BDJ should just ignore what CFH asked him to do in the meeting, if it took place as claimed? I don't care what the neighbor did, or what he is like. If it was bad enough that it took a meeting with the police, CFH, BDJ and the neighbor, and BDJ agreed to change the behavior, then he is in the wrong for not doing it. He is not a child. It's not surprising that numerous posters would immediately blame/suspect the neighbor of overreacting. There is a large segment of sports fan culture than consists of individuals who thrive on constant energy and excitement, and who have corresponding personalities that do not permit them to understand the perspective of people who appreciate peace and quiet, especially at night when they are trying to sleep.

Speaking for myself, I think if you live in an apartment, you should be ready to tolerate the murmur of TV or music, or conversations, in adjacent rooms, at least during the day and evening. You shouldn't have to tolerate anything beyond that. And leaving trash in the hallways is just plain uncivil.

I have 8 ams everyday. I have to go to sleep much earlier than anyone else. I would much rather have peace and quiet.

That said I recognize that in an apartment you will have noise even at night.
