Unless Colorado beats Utah (very unlikely) then USC is in Pac 12 Title game.
How? USC has two conference losses (Oregon and Washington), Utah only has one (USC).

You answered your own question. How? USC has two conference losses (Oregon and Washington), Utah only has one (USC).

That may be the catalyst needed to get to an 8 team play off.About as expected. It's really setting up to be an SEC wet dream. If Clemson loses once (somehow), it's no stretch SEC gets 3 teams in top 4. In fact, probably inside-track to 2-3-4 if Georgia beat LSU for title.
I almost hope it happens and see how poorly that's going to sit with 3/5 of the P5. Not that it matters, I suppose.

Really don't like the best G5 automatically getting a NYE6 game - Boise could get in just because of easier competition. The G5 should only get in if they are ranked in the top 12 - isn't that the way the BCS was?
The reason it needs to be automatic is because there will always be a bias that they just beat bad teams.
How do you determine that until you let them play. Same concept of why it’s stupid to have multiple SEC teams in the playoff. But they do...
That reminds me of one of her famous quotes:
Grinf smort bleygo shin.
Georgia has 3 wins against CFP top 25 teams, thats why. Now why Alabama is ahead of OU? That is just some SEC bias bulls**t because what is Alabama best win? They haven't beaten a top 25 team to date! It's honestly patheticNot sure what to think here. LSU played two FCS teams unlike the Buckeyes, but they also have three Top 15 wins to OSU's two. I myself think LSU should still be #1. Also not sure why Georgia is ahead of Alabama. Their loss is worse than Bama's.

As long as LSU wins out, and the ACC and Big X go as expected, the SEC should only be getting one team in the playoff. If OU or Baylor win Saturday, then they will both be one lose teams meeting for the championship. The winner should be the number 4 team, the only team that might be in front of the them would be a one lose Utah team if they win out.
Undefeated LSU, Clemson and Ohio St would all be conference champs and will be in, the fourth slot would have a one lose Alabama, but no 13th data point. While the winner of OU/Baylor will have one loss, but be a conference champ. Or on lose Utah also being a conference champ.
Let the committee try and defend putting Alabama over those other one loss teams.
At least in an 8 team playoff every P5 conference gets represented and then you could probably give the G5 a spot as well. Also, how would you feel if ISU was ranked 12th and had played multiple ranked teams and winning a couple but then be denied a NYE6 game to make way for Boise who has only one loss but played no ranked teams? How do you determine that until you let them play. Same concept of why it’s stupid to have multiple SEC teams in the playoff.
They will be 12-1 and totally deserving of one of those games. Not sure the exact specifications but I’m ok if there are some limitations it’s just elitist to say they should have to be top 12.
Aaaand their Heisman finalist starting QB is done for the year. It should be a no-brainer that they're out.Georgia has 3 wins against CFP top 25 teams, thats why. Now why Alabama is ahead of OU?
