*** CFB Championship Week Games Thread***

Was just coming to post this. What a fuking joke
Basically letting Saban publicly influence the committee
I hate everything about this CFP and BS committee
What a total clown. His only evidence for being in is "well, we think we are better than any of the other 4 teams right now even though our record doesn't show it".

Just in case anybody didn't realize how this all works right?

Ohio State doesn't even need to have a campaign, they're a stone cold lock despite only 12 data points and getting curb stomped in last game.
They seemed to be who he was targeting when he brought up how teams were "playing now".

Saban did say one thing I fully agree with. With the playoff creation, we started to make bowl games irrelevant. That’s only gotten worse, so if we are going to make them irrelevant we might as well expand to 12 teams like we are to make more games count for something and give more teams a shot to play meaningful football at the end of the season. Case in point is this ACC Championship. You have a power 5 title game going on, and it’s completely pointless outside of just crowning the conference champ. Bet more people are tuning if it’s a win and you’re in situation.

What the fuk was that, seriously? Bama gets to make a national sales pitch?
This has been happening forever. Remember when Mac Brown went on and lobbied for Texas to get in the Rose bowl over Cal? It worked.

Meh, Alabama is not going to the CFB Playoff over TCU.
They are going to the Sugar Bowl to play the Big Xii Champion K-State Wildcats.
I wonder by how many points the Wildcats will be favored?

The media is pushing for OSU and Alabama. It's going to be non-stop Alabama and OSU promotion from now until announcement.

The pre-emptiveness of that Saban interview is just awful.
He should have declined the interview, but he is not as sharp as he once was.
Why would he want to get gouged by Kirby again?
Time for him to retire.

Why would he decline and interview and a chance to promote his team? I mean that is kind of his job.

If 'Bama had 1 loss, but wasn't the conference champion, do we REALLY think he'd be saying "Just look at overall performance, circumstances, and disregard the record."

Clearly he's taking whatever position just benefits them now.

Honestly I’m waiting for food right now and it’s louder in the concourse then it was where I was sitting. Purdue fans don’t really think they really have a chance. Michigan fans know we have been dominant in the second half all year so we’re kinda just chilling. If it stays close going into the 4th things might change.
Wait. You are a Wolverine fan?

One thing that someone brought up is Bama didn’t have to play Georgia, who was the best team in the SEC by far. So again massive conferences make it so teams can luck out and avoid good teams.

Today’s SEC result is actually not good for Bama. If Bama is one of the “best four teams” as Saban put it, then why did they struggle so much and lose to LSU? An LSU team that just got absolutely destroyed by Georgia. And a loss to a Tennessee team that South Carolina embarrassed?

Sorry but Bama did lose to good teams no doubt, but it’s not like one of their losses was to Georgia.
