CB Loves Haters

If this was following one bad game (and in response someone went off on him/the team), I'd agree and find it quite amusing. But that's not the case.

I think Craig probably takes a lot of the bashing that has come his way this year to heart. I think he's a guy who turned down millions of dollars to play a sport for a school that he loves. I wish we would realize that more and maybe remember that.

In my opinion, this T-Shirt is another example of the negative impact this Board is having on our Men's College Baskeball program. At least Craig has the sense to have fun with it. The players read this stuff! Think before you blog.

I just saw Colvin wearing a shirt with the Nike emblam! WTH! He should be an Adidas guy!

I kind of like the shirt. I WISH this team had an 'us against the world' mentality.

And I love Craig Brackins. He seems like a great person who is also a great basketball player. Some weaknesses in his game have been exposed this year, but I am 100% convinced that it is not because he isn't trying or doesn't want to win. I'm convinced that he is working on getting better every day. And I'm still thrilled that he came back. And (if by some miracle) he decided to come back again next year, I would be beyond thrilled.

22, c'mon man! I'm usually with a lot of things you say here, but you must be right that it just "touched a nerve". Every time you wear a t-shirt to work out in are you expressing how you feel?

If you want to have the discussion comparing CB 2009 vs CB 2010 I think that's fine. I just can't stand to do it in a thread where the catalyst for that discussion was a t-shirt. I just can't take it seriously.

No kidding. I wish the players wouldn't read this board and if they do I wish that they would realize that we are a bunch of people who aren't good enough to play basketball and not smart enough to coach basketball. Our opinions are pretty damn worthless.

You make good points.

I most certainly do. A decision that was for the good of ISU but most likely not for the good of Craig. If Craig doesn't want to read about critical comments - go dominate. He can and has shown it many times, just not much at all this season.

The key is wish, but they don't. If I truly believed the team was giving 100% for 40 minutes and getting better (winning or still falling short), I wouldn't have an issue with it. But I don't think the Craig and the team is doing that. If they were, Craig would have scored 40+ against CU because his points were there all night (which is just one example).

I find it incredible that people need to be so cynical towards a 20-somethings simply because they have been given a scholarship.

I am going to create a forum where we can make fun of a scholarship student who has failed to make substantial progress in his math studies.

And CB doesn't expect fans to treat him like royalty just because he graced us with another year of his presence; he's a blue-collar, humble guy who sets the pace for the entire team in summer workouts, conditioning sessions, and in practice intensity.
Anyone who attends a bb practice - just one time - can see how preposterous and uninformed it is for anyone to question CB's attitude.

I just threw away my "I love Cumming" shirt. It is from a bar called Cumming tap in Cumming, Iowa. I don't want to be photographed with it on. Have someone start a thread about it. Then have people argue whether or not I put enough effort into my sex life. So I just threw it away to avoid all of this. You all are welcome.

Or maybe Brackins should worry more about Baylor and not about the "haters".

This haters business usually seems to come from the 15 year old girl types on Facebook/MySpace. Lame.

And a pretty sad state for Craig/ISU that he's got a shirt on about haters rather than excelling this season and climbing the NBA draft boards.
+ 1 I couldn't agree more.

Yeah CB is persecuted everywhere.

Ditch the shirt and attitude and just start playing already Craig.

Wow...Get off of Brackins. Getting ridiculous.

I'm sure Mac messed up some where...Go back to ripping on him.

Man, I wish 22 and Go Show were on our team. We would have the toughest team ever. All basketball, all the time. No time for fun or jest, just basketball.

How dare one of our players wear a novelty t-shirt making light of the fact that people undervalue his talent? How dare he bring any amount of levity to a frustrating year? Please.

We need you two out there. How quickly can you get to Waco?

It's a T-shirt he is wearing to practice for crying out loud and some people feel the need to have a discussion about this. Unreal.
