I understand the convenience thing, but why do people dine from places where you can smell gasoline?
I remember years ago Kwik Star just sent you vouchers to redeem for using their credit card- it would be nice if Casey’s would do that.
Another pain in the *** thing- why do I have to use the app to get my 10th pizza free? Just go back to the box tabs- it was so convenient vs. having to do the stupid app that for whatever reason thinks I live in Coralville because I used the app there once.
Collecting those tabs gave a sense of accomplishment for the family to work together to a common goal.
Sheetz is my favorite followed by Wawa.
The MTO touchscreens at Sheetz are awesome.
Caseys has fallen off a clfff in the last decade.. Give me more kwik trips or Kiwk Stars.
Want to know what it's like to be completely invisible for 20 minutes? Try picking up the pizza you ordered at the time they said it would be ready.
I still have a soft spot for Casey’s breakfast pizza. But everything is so expensive it’s tough to justify stopping. Kwik Star is so nice for picking up staples on the way home. BAnd stuff is priced similar to the grocery store rather than the movie theatre. I’ll get bread, milk, bananas to avoid Walmart or Fareway for convenience. And the Kwik Star cookies are so good.
Okay? Doesn’t mean that a large majority of them are not good. They kill it in small towns where that is the literal life blood of a town. If that monopoly ever stops, they just might be screwed.
They can't even get my pizza order right anymore and that's the only reason I've ever gone there. Been a Kwik Star guy for all 37 years, told my wife we could finally move to Des Moines after they started opening stores there.
Think how dumb the average person is, then realize that 50% of people are dumber.
This is literally their original business model, and you'll probably have better luck at Casey's in towns "too small" for kwik star.
It's also more of a desirable or "legitimate" career choice in more rural situations. Trying to hire a competent and enthusiastic GM in let's say Ankeny or Cedar falls with a bigger store, more to manage, and maybe more questionable personnel to choose from is probably a lot tougher task than we think.
Wow I just looked at their stock price, would have never guessed the moonshot that thing is on in the past 20 years, but I agree besides the pizza its trash, they got some good real estate tho. Kwik Trip is dominating where I live.
na, thats what im saying. they are focusing on growth instead of retention and quality? and its working (stock price is up, they are making more money)
They are nasty ass people who don't give a ****. Back in the day when I ran truck stops I almost hated to make employees clean the bathrooms and that was 15-20 years ago. Pretty sure its only gotten worse.
Most places where people have an actual choice, they lose. Lol. They're just littered throughout small one-shop towns where they're the only game. Hence, "they make money."
