I love the episode when Laura accidentally reveals he wears a toupee, and she gets called to his office, where he is talking to his toupee on a mannequin head.
This surprises me, because I saw a picture of him yesterday on Twitter with his daughter Annie and Mel Brooks - it was VERY recent based on the matching shirts. He looked so energetic!
Reiner and Steve Martin had a string of movies together (Reiner directing and Martin staring) in the late 70s/early 80s. None better than The Jerk. He was also nominated for 16 Emmy's and won nine...most for his writing on the fantastic **** Van Dyke Show.
I learned of him, as many younger people probably did, from Ocean's Eleven...

He was 98 years old in that movie....
