Campustown Question

What what what? The People's Cruise? This sounds like something the Rock would be promoting. Is this a real thing?

From "I Partied At Peoples" Facebook page. It looks like it was March 1st. EDIT!!!! WAIT A MINUTE!!!!! IT'S MARCH 1, 2020!!!

It was amazing, once the original owner died it went down fairly quickly.

Yeah...one of the relatives used to be a neighbor of ours for a bit here in Des Moines. He told me they had major family battles (no pun intended) regarding control/ownership and it all eventually fell apart. Too bad.

Did anybody go, or is anybody going, on the People's Cruise? Several of the old bands are playing/played on the cruise including the Nada's. When I saw the ad for it I had stated "I have seen how I die, and what a glorious way to go."

Edit: IT'S MARCH 1st, 2020! We idiots thought it was this year!
I did see it, and am thinking about it. The Nadas just finished their cruise this year in Cuba.

George was still around for about the first year on Welch, right? I remember the Hayward location. ******* phenomenal. It was still really good for a time on Welch. I knew a couple guys who worked there, and we'd stop in mid-FAC to soak up booze.
