You just never know what these kids are dealing with on top of the spotlight and stresses and tribulations that a dedicated high level athlete must face. That reads as a really good guy who accepts responsibility for himself and knows that he crossed some lines.
That was a classy tweet by Grill. Whatever he said, must’ve been really bad, because you would think you could work that stuff out unless it was just too much.
Depending on what it was it could be worthy of it. I’m not sure we want to know what he said.
At least he didn’t bring somebody their murder weapon

Oof. That’s a gut punch. Here’s hoping he gets past this time because there is really only one thing I can think of that could be “said” that could get to immediate dismissal.

But boy does it suck that a kid (who we all could see was struggling) has to go out that way. I wish there was a different way. Like maybe let him quit rather than the dismissal.
If he watched every game of that 2-22 season, then he is a bigger Iowa State fan than I am.
I have agreed with you in the past but I don’t want to win so bad that we act like KU or Alabama.
If it was something racial TJ absolutely made the right decision. You can’t have a divide like that in the locker room
It's pretty obvious that was the last straw, not just something random.
His Tweet reads like someone with anxiety and depression issues, something I can relate to. It most likely boiled over when he couldn't play 100% because of his back injury.
Probably started lashing out at teammates and coaches because he was frustrated. Hopefully he gets the help he needs, he was definitely one of my favorite Cyclones.
Him telling the Texas bench to get a T.O. after he buried them in Tyreses homecoming , along with single handily beating North Carolina will be my favorite memories of him in a Cyclone uniform.
