TJ didn't attend or coach at WSU, and (as far as I know) didn't call Rogers to recruit him, so seems like a rather different situation to me.

My point is that coaches help recruit coaches everywhere. Sanderson left here 16 years ago and has won 12 national championships. I doubt he's still holding on to a lot of venom toward Iowa State. He wants his current school to make a good hire.Does TJ hate Washington State? Was not aware.
I already replied to this but in addition, this was definitely a coordinated effort by Pedo State to get Cael, NFL coach and governor to reach out out to him, several times (MCM said there were MULTIPLE texts). There was no coordinated effort by JP or TJ on JR to ISU.How is this different from TJ helping recruit Jimmy to ISU?
And gave him his first head coaching job.Cael wrestled at ISU and went undefeated and won 4 national titles... then he left. There's absolutely no one in the history of ISU that should have more loyalty to his school (maybe Gable, but he wasn't given the chance to coach). What any student, let alone athlete that goes through at ISU (or any college) is not just a "fun place"; it means more, it's hard work and shapes you for the rest of your life. It was for me, my day and my grandpa that went to ISU before me. Cael had way more success and recognition and fan support than Campbell; more than Hoiberg, Niang, Haliburton, Carr (dad or son), Purdy, etc. But obviously he left, doesn't give a *hit, and now is helping poach our coaches in other sports, telling them the money is better than loyalty. I have no respect for Cael or Campbell now.
Matt Coach Mampbell?I already replied to this but in addition, this was definitely a coordinated effort by Pedo State to get Cael, NFL coach and governor to reach out out to him, several times (MCM said there were MULTIPLE texts). There was no coordinated effort by JP or TJ on JR to ISU.
...maybe 50-75 years...Cael is just another Gable. Thanks for the memories but will be a blip on the radar and have a banner….but 20 years from now nobody will even remember he went to Iowa state.

Heck, I still remember Hugo Otopalik…and yes, Cael was the BEST wrestler I’ve ever seen on the mat. Real wrestling fans will always remember who he is....maybe 50-75 years...
Not sure his opinion today, but he left probably harsher than any coach I’ve ever seen.I’m so glad there are so many folk here that have regular beverages with Sanderson to know exactly how he feels. That’s a credit to you all for developing that relationship and spilling the beans to the rest of us.
Glad you were there to see it. People leave. Doesn’t mean they’ve forever cut ties to Iowa State. Look at Gable. He’s been back wearing his ISU letter jacket for several events. Not sure his opinion today, but he left probably harsher than any coach I’ve ever seen.
Why do you think we ended up KJ? If you don’t know that situation, you obviously don’t know how that process went down.Glad you were there to see it. People leave. Doesn’t mean they’ve forever cut ties to Iowa State. Look at Gable. He’s been back wearing his ISU letter jacket for several events.
He's coming from Washington State, bear with me here but that's a different state from South Dakota.South Dakota State University happened whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.
Gable and Cael left under totally different circumstancesGlad you were there to see it. People leave. Doesn’t mean they’ve forever cut ties to Iowa State. Look at Gable. He’s been back wearing his ISU letter jacket for several events.
If we didn’t have the conference realignment missile crisis, I don’t think Cael leavesGable and Cael left under totally different circumstances
