Arkansas State is 2-0, with narrow wins over Central Arkansas and Tulsa. I'm not gonna pretend to know much about this team, so I'll just throw out some stats.

PPG: 31
PTS ALLOWED/GM: 27.5

-They average 140 rush yds per game but only 3.3 yds per carry. Everyone on the team averages less than 4 yards per carry.
-Passing numbers are not great. They only have 1 good WR, Corey Rucker. Gotta guard that guy. His numbers are similar to Jaylin Noel's.
-Dangerous punt returner.
-68.5 penalty yards per game is something I hope our coaches pay attention to and take advantage of.
-They are solid on 3rd downs, offensively and defensively.
-Good redzone offense.

I hope ISU takes advantage of the bye week to rest the guys up and study film on Arkansas State. They play Michigan next week and could be beat up coming into Ames in two weeks.

Things to look for in that game:
The OL continuing to emerge, same for the LBs.

Hopefully ISU has it together and can put together a 30ish-10ish win.

Love the fact that they have allowed 7 YPP and 6 YPP to offenses that don’t have near the firepower ours does. Kinda feel like Michigan will run over them

I see also that North Dakota beat Montana yesterday…a pretty decent win for them. While still an FCS team, it proved to be a good pre-Iowa game to get some issues addressed. The bye week will address more…great timing!
Fwiw, Montana was #4 in FCS coaches poll, so that's definitely a good win, relatively (I think UND entered game at #20)

Illinois state barely beat an 0-3 North Alabama team after allowing 411 yards

It's almost like letting the season play out is better than assuming it's all bad because of a week 1 win.

You’re never as good as you look when you win and never as bad when you lose. But we look like we’re in the top tier of the Big 12. I would have said that even if the kick missed.

While the Big 12 pundits are conceding our win in Iowa City was a good win, they're questioning whether our offense is good enough for ISU to be one of the top tier Big 12 teams. This is based on the fact that we've only scored a total of 41 points in the first 2 games.

I don't agree with this assessment, but that's what they are saying.
