That ball was like 3 feet behind him. It was either try and catch it with 1 hand or let it sail into the sideline. Had he not attempted to catch it we'd be calling him lazy.

Agreed. Can't blame a true freshman WR for trying to catch a ball that is thrown to him. I don't put that INT on Lazard or Sam, even though it was a bad pass. But even if he DID catch it, it was only going to be about a 3-4 yard gain. Just an unfortunate play that seems to happen to us more than any other team in the country. The Cyclone curse!
 
He kept trying to throw over the middle, but it was clogged. Frankly, if we are going to lose, we might as well throw some deep balls. Just as good as a punt. I mean, make some plays over 20 yards instead of one the whole game.
