Pres. Leath addresses the Bubu Palo issue at Hilton today

Interview with Ames Trib prior to the game:

“The appeal came to me June 10th,†said Leath. “The parties thought it was reasonable I give them two weeks to provide information, and then they wanted two weeks to rebut. So there the first month was gone.†Leath said he then had a “long-scheduled, multi-week trip to Africa as part of ISU’s program over there†and did not return until August. “I wanted to do a thorough, careful job,†said Leath, “so I asked all parties would they have any objections about waiting until the end of the month. Nobody had any objections. “And Mr. Palo’s attorney talked to (ISU athletic director) Jamie (Pollard) to make sure we would approve a waiver if there were any concerns about him transferring, and we assured him we would. They never asked us for one. “So actually the timeline seemed very fair and reasonable despite the way some people have portrayed it.â€

So, if you do not like the fact that no objections were raised by Bubu's attorney the answer is to insult the person providing the information.

Please at least say you read the article first.

I don't understand why anyone would have any issues with that statement.

So Leath asked Bubu's attorney if Leath should do something that will make Leath look bad in the case.

And Bubu's attorney said "yes, please go ahead" ?

Surprise.

Bubi's attorney has an obligation to inform him of any potential negative consequences. Being silent, is not a strategy.
Ask any counsel.

Leath just needs to shut up.

A kid's last eligible year to play college basketball was at stake this summer, and you blew it off on purpose and blamed it on the fact you were basically vacationing in Africa? Really? And we're just supposed to be ok with that?

You purposely waited until Bubu had no other options open to him to decide his fate. That is BS and you know it. Just shut up already. You're looking more idiotic every time you speak at this point.

Bubu took you to task and won. Get over it and move on. Be a man.

The bold part certainly hasn't been shown and is likely not true.

It's hard to prove anything, but he nonetheless had 3 months to make a decision, but waited until 5 days AFTER classes started. That is BS. No way around it.

If he cared at all about Bubu Palo, he wouldn't have done that. He's had it out for him for some reason that we'll likely never know. But don't act as if you didn't have time because you were in Africa all summer. C'mon... that's lame.
