Kind of excited for them. No connection or anything but more in a 'Yay for sports' kind of way.

May end up being the team I pay most attention to if ISU doesn't earn a bid.

Same here...except I could see us playing them in the first round in the 7/10 or 8/9 matchup.

Assume we do finish 8-10. That means losing to either OSU or TCU. That would mean the Big 12 only has 5 teams at .500. Where do you guys think that these teams are going to come from? There aren't mid major teams that are going to take spots. If you want to say we have no chance then there are something like only 30 teams I'd give a chance including autobids from P5.

Im not going to say we would get in and frankly we wouldn't deserve it but I just have a hard time finding the other teams to put in above us.

Holy **** you weren't kidding... I get 21-4 is 21-4 but man that is an empty record.

Its still a solid win for Northwestern, especially on the road. That other poster acted like they just beat Rutgers or something.

Wisconsins non-conference schedule was actually pretty tough but their Big 10 schedule is a complete joke. Only playing Purdue, Maryland, Michigan State once. The Big 10 is so diluted now with 14 teams and unbalanced schedules.

What is really funny is how mad Big fans were that Wisky wasn't in the First 16. Especially Jerry Palm who just on Friday put them in his "Possible 1 seed rankings".

It's just an empty 21-4 is all.

Wisconsin has 1 Top 50 win since November 21st... In all fairness they have only played 4 since then. Glad the committee saw through the BS of Wisconsin's resume or lack thereof.

A non conference SOS of 256 is hardly world beating and you just can't have 4 games against sub 300 RPI teams and not expect to be kicked down for it.

Yeah, I agree, the Big 10 schedule they have played so far is an absolute joke.

Agreed the weakness of the conference in general did them no favors either.

Funny that most years for the resume boost you would want 2 games vs Michigan State... this year their saving grace is 2 vs Minnesota.

I think we need three wins for me to feel comfortable going into the Big 12 tournament. I think two will still get us there, but by a bare margin. I'd be much happier not having to sweat out the first round of the Big 12 tournament or especially the bracket announcement.

How about 2 wins and then beating TCU or K-State in Kansas City, then losing to Kansas or Baylor? We might be pushing play-in game territory?

Remain schedule:
43 - Feb. 15 @ Kansas State
35 - Feb. 18 TCU
95 - Feb. 20 @ Texas Tech
1 - Feb. 25 Baylor
28 - Feb. 28 Oklahoma State
29 - Mar. 3 @ West Virginia

Getting 3 wins out of those to get to 10-8 puts them into a no doubt 100% lock and probably at least a 7.

Getting 2 wins out of those to go to 9-9 puts them probably 8-9... maybe 10 but safely in.

2 wins and we might be in, but sweating on Selection Sunday. Like Royce White, I don't like to sweat.

Yeah, youre probably right, 19-13 should get us in. What if we finished 9-9 and lost the first round in KC?

Still not close to the play in game. If we had not won @KU then there would be a chance that we could be in play-in game territory in that scenario.

I made this comment in a different thread but the committee is looking for teams to fill out the bracket this season as opposed to past years when they are trying to figure out who to leave out.
