Breaking Bad

I was expecting a bullet to hit Hank in the head right after the phone call ended. The next 3 episodes are going to be awesome. The Ricin is now clearly for Jack.

I thought they might hit Gomez (that's his name, right?) 1st from nowhere and then pin Hank down. But, I was waiting when he was on the phone.

80s flashback to the A-Team with all those automatic weapons going off and no one getting hit... But Hank and Gomey are still goners. I will bet Jesse slinked away...

Gotta say it... I was disappointed. I mean, I don't mind a cliffhanger and that wasn't the first time Gilligan has telegraphed an ending, but the can't-hit-the-broad-side-of-a-barn-rambo-style-shoot-'em-out was weak.

Perhaps the bar is just too high.

For just a moment, with that focus on the hallway in Hank and Marie's home, I thought a sniper was going to take out Marie. I couldn't tie together why that would happen, but I was even more certain after the words "I love you."

I also thought that Hank and Walt would be gone before the Nazi arrival, which would kill Gomez and Jesse while the world found out about Walt.

I'm glad there wasn't a running Cybookie on the ending.

Gomez dies. Hank surrenders. Walt gets uncuffed. Jesse and Hank get cuffed. Walt then kills Todd and the crew. Walt takes Jess and flees the seen leaving Hank alive.

This. I was expecting either Gomey or Jesse to get hit out of nowhere. My heart was racing for that entire buildup, just waiting for that shot to come.

As soon as I realized that they weren't immediately leaving the scene, I knew Todd & Co. were coming.

Gilligan has gotten so good at building ridiculous levels of suspense without using obvious plot points to do so. Just the angle of the camera in a shot can tell you if something crazy is going to happen.

I have no idea what's going to go down, but all we know is that Walt gets out of this somehow. He's the only one we know for sure that gets out of this mess.

I thought maybe Walt was going to end up killing Hank in the car on the way back to the station or something?

If he wanted to do that, he wouldn't have called them off. Hank can't kill anyone close to him. If he could, he would have.

Gomez dies. Hank survives but is taken "prisoner" or something along those lines. Jesse and Walt both survive. Todd and his uncle with the swastika on his neck both survive, but the rest of the crew are killed. Too bad Hank has told only Gomez, and has no backup. I think they take Hank somewhere and tie him up, and Walt doesn't have the stomache to kill him, so Todd does it against Walt's wishes. BUT in the end, Jesse wins somehow. Maybe he is scared that his protection is gone, so he goes to the press, and that is why Walt's neighbor lady is frightened. She has seen Walt all over the TV and knows he is a bad mofo!!

I saw the guys coming even though Walt didn't want them too a mile away. He is their golden goose. No way they were going not see what was going on.

I did not see Walt getting outsmarted by Jesse like that coming. I was actually a little disappointed by that, but I guess it works with Walk being blinded by greed and all that.

I would rather have had Walt get out of it with wit or a plan instead of just a gun fight, especially since we know he is getting away.

Still really really good though. Can't wait till next week.
