WHOO HOOO! Nice to see. To the bears. Sounds like he had been in contact with them, been up to work out at their facilities and stuff
If not, i'm sure both are near locks to get picked up in free agency. Which with Jackson, is a great pick up for whoever might sign him. Cause for cheap money they'll get to see how well he heals, and if he gets back to his old form, they basically have given themselves and extra draft pick
I am just shocked Stephenson has not been selected yet.
I just feel awful for Jackson too. Hopefully he will get a big contract after his first one to compensate for the injury he suffered.
I cannot believe Brant was selected, good job out of him. Makes you wonder why the O-Line performed so bad when two of the starters have NFL type talent.

Exactly what I'm wondering...How does that happen??? Were our other 3 guys just THAT bad?
No, most people said that Reggie Stephens was the best o-lineman at the end of the season.
My guess is the fact that nothing ever changed scheme-wise and teams knew that would be the case so the o-line was manhandled by blitzes and looks designed to stop the terrible play calling by ISU.
Scary to think about what could have been the last three seasons if there would have been some outside of the box thinking. I should not say outside the box, I should just say changing things up!

Brant will need to become more aggressive and develop a mean streak to make. He has the tools, just not the makeup. Perhaps the first time Brian Urlacher comes on a blitz in camp against him wil force him to take it up a notch. Too bad for Deandre J. Stephenson seemed to be being told he would be first day pick, but his performance at the combine likely really hurt him. Lack of strength offsets his aggressiveness. Hopefully he gets on with a team where he can prove himself

Drew Tate didn't go anywhere either. I was pretty sure that the Raiders were debating between Tate and Jamarcus Russell. Then from there, he kind of slid like Brady Quinn. It must have been a team needs thing!:laugh8kb:

Shocked Scott S. didn't get drafted and Mason Crosby of CU didn't go until the 6th round. Hope these guys get a try out and turn some heads like Jordan Carstens did. Why do I get the impression that Drew Tate will hang out in Ia.City for what, say 20 years and talk about his college days and be a host for Applebees...
Tate just got signed with the Rams... And that really sucks!! Hopefully he gets cut!
