Just looking at KenPom alone, last night shot us all the way to 5 and dropped Houston to 2. Houston was far and away #1 the entire year and #2 was not even close to them. The metrics shift from this game was indeed amazing.
Arizona is the last 2 seed in almost every scenario. Send their ass to Boston
Not every bracket on bracket matrix has updated. And we have moved up solidly. And the difference between us and Tennessee on there is miniscule. I imagine if that trend holds the average keeps moving up and we finish as the top number two on bracket matrix
For comedic purposes, according to that data, I thought everyone should know that this little sunflower I supposedly the best bracket predictor on the internet
And we also became the official #1 defense in the nation. Houston dropped to #2.
Potential Nebraska in round 2 and BYU in sweet 16, no thanks. Those styles have given us trouble.
Honestly not even just this season. When you look at the margin of victory and how few points Houston was held to it is one of the more impressive performances in college basketball period. Over decades.

Nebraska is very home heavy this year and haven't played a defense close to ours.

There are 2 main reason I see that we won't get it. I think either in a vacuum would stop us. Both and there's no real chance.
1. The B12 wouldn't get two 1 seeds unless it was undeniable. This is not clear enough scenario to justify it.
2. The committee has been very clear that they don't want to reward weak NCSOS. I think Tennessee or Arizona would always get in over us for that last spot.
But it since we are right there, the media can spend all day discussing "what if" and more people will tune into the bracket reveal tonight.

I heard that if it's the 1 seed that Iowa State gets shipped to Sydney, Australia and has to play at 9:00 AM Thursday.
I think our defense could give NU fits though. And IL ran them over in the second half yesterday, so I wouldn't worry as much about our offense.
