If I follow the logic correctly, it goes like this:
CC complains about the refs
Emmett Till was born in Chicago
Therefore, CC must atone for “her actions” that are also harming black people.
I think that’s basically the gist of the article.
I don’t like Clark but that is a straight up insane and irresponsible headline. Wasn’t she attending a charity event in Des Moines?
Yes. Headline is just gross. USA Today is on quite a roll between this and the column saying she's carrying the weight of our country's systemic racism on her shoulders.
Internet algorithms are ruining society. This is totally stupid.
If you call AI generated stories stitching together and inventing "facts" based on algorithms knowing your viewing habits, well, welcome to the billionaire's $lope factory.
And this is why she’ll never grow up…. why should she? Her fans will always back her 1000% no matter how much of an immature brat she is.
Even the media will never call her out for her behavior…. they just keep babying her and making her the victim. It’s no wonder she gets treated like she does on the court by opposing players.
But hey…. like people are saying…. all the drama is why people are tuning in. A lot of people watch car racing for the crashes, not the racing.
I am a lifelong Cyclone who despises the Hawks. I despised Clark as a Hawk. I live in Indiana and I started watching Fever games when Clark was drafted. Mostly out of curiosity and not really wishing them or her success. I do think the WNBA referees are terrible, but I don’t like her interactions with the referees. They are very immature. But, because I live in Indiana I see a lot of Fever media stuff. If you watch her interviews and her interactions with teammates it is pretty easy to see she is a quality young person. Most all the drama surrounding her minus the interactions with referees has been created by the media, the WNBA, fans for and against her, and other players. I feel sorry for her. From the numerous interviews I have watched, Clark the person is a not someone deserving of all the hate. Plus, Tyrese seems to really like her. I do however 100% question her choice in boyfriends though.
Everyone outside of Connor's family questions that choice.
She's one of those people that are so hyper-competitive she turns into a different person on the floor than she is in real life. Just wired that way. Hell, you see it all levels of sports, she's just in a giant spotlight.
I liked hearing her talk about her experience meeting Obama and how he complimented her for the way she's handled all the pressures she's had on her being so famous and dealing with so much at such a young age compared to when he had to deal with it in his 40s. Cool stuff.
The last sentence is reason enough to continue not liking her and questioning her quality as a person. Just my 2 cents
