***Bowl Games Thread***

You must think 4-win Oregon is really, really lame.
I am starting to become concerned that they will be fresh ala OSU last night. b10 and pac12 teams are may be at mid season form, with only mid season wear and tear.

Are they one of the 4 best? What about OU? Were Clemson or ND ever even that good? No OOC games to really gauge it. Just their preseason rankings, which we've seen proven are unreliable (see: penn state, michigan)

The system is badly, badly flawed, and was completely exposed for that and outright corruption this season.
When people are asking for OOC games as a measuring stick, are you meaning games versus P5? One thing this season did was expose a lot of teams, especially those in conferences that play 4 OOC games. Conference only left lots of teams with .500 and below records. It makes the Clone’s accomplishments that much better, especially with the conference bowl performance too.

Of course they did....the ACC didn’t deserve 2. That’s the biggest crime right there....ACC currently winless in the bowls

I mean, the b1g had rules in place to ensure a team had a minimum number of games so even by their own rules, a team that plays that few games shouldn't be eligible. That's a big 10 thing though, not the CFP. You make the best point of this situation though, the ACC being bad isn't getting mentioned. The "Buckeyes Belong" hype is drowning everything out right now. The funny thing is, it's probably even more disrespectful to tOSU to be beating that drum. tOSU is a program who's only counterparts are Bama and Clemson, no one should be shocked they have as much talent as those teams. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them beat Bama too, Tide haven't played anyone like this and their shakey defense may finally catch up with them.

Agree with this. Because after their dismantling of the SEC runner up, one could say Oklahoma "deserved" to be in the CFP. I think the biggest change needs to be get rid of the ranking system. Because teams like Alabama and Clemson never have to play their way "into" the CFP......just play their way out because of their initial ranking at the beginning of the season.
agree
Sorry, but that would make too much sense, would be too popular, and would make too much money. Get real.
seems like a no brainer at this point so...probably won’t happen

Yes. The 8 team playoff with no rankings to start the season. No "who is in the top 10". Everyone starts out the season at the same level. There are enough "metrics" and "data points" to be handed out as the season unfolds. No sense in putting a hand full of teams at the top of the mountain every year before the season starts and then tell the rest...... good luck. Then Alabama would be........Alabama. Not ....."top ranked" Alabama.

I'm sorry - I think a 4-6 Kentucky does not belong in a January bowl game.

Change my mind.

Appears Indiana needed less ********/crying about not getting a NY6 and be more focused on the actual game they got.

4-5 Ole Miss is handling IN right now.

BTW, after last night it appears that the ACC is way overrated this year. Pretty clear that someone else should have been in those games. Maybe OU or A&M.
