Someone help me make sense of kicking the field goal there. All OU did was make a 3 score game a 3 score game. Score and you go up 25 (4 scores no matter what). Worst case scenario (besides giving up a long turnover) is you don't get it and Florida has to go the length of the field still down by 3 scores. Dumb.

I'd guess Lincoln feels differently about giving up 3 scores and losing and giving up 3 scores and going to overtime?

Not technically. Florida could still get 3 TD's with a 2 point conversion on each one

And Oklahoma could get four more touchdowns.

I guess with how well they've shut Florida down I'd feel pretty good about making them drive the length of the field. I just think not much thinking went into that decision there

Like I know Florida has opt outs but they just were within 6 of Alabama. Everyone acts like Alabama is unbeatable. I still think had we made the playoff we would have at worst lost a competitive game against Bama and had a reasonable chance of winning.
