OSU’s Wallace just quit on his team mid game
What became of Tylan Wallace? He got off to a really great start in this game, but has seemingly dissapeared.
I'm agreeing with you....and also going to call that good coaching. That should be the default position of a solid D1 corner until the referees call it and then you dial to how the referees call a game. Kansas State did that to us for DECADES and we just took it.
Wallace just decided to be done at the half I guess.
At what point do players start to sit out the season as soon as a national title is no longer an option?
I get it--they want to make their money and have the right to earn, but it's about to be as bad as NCAA basketball for competitiveness.

I will stand by this forever, but players opting out of bowl games is pathetic. Eventually it’ll start happening as soon as teams lose a game or are out of conference title contention (as we saw with Texas this year). It’s a joke
That's not a good look. Either opt out beforehand or play. Interesting if King's injury had a lot to do with it.
Yeah. I'd like to see the NCAA have teams cover insurance policies more often for players in draftable situations. I know they do some, but it needs to be more widespread than it is today.
He does have what appears to be a nicotine patch though.
It seems like there should be a consequence for him, but I can’t figure what that would be.
ESPN radio guy speculated that Wallace may have reacted to Miami QB King's game ending injury:
King helped off field after apparent knee injury - ESPN Video
Miami star quarterback D'Eriq King rushes for 5 yards but suffers an apparent knee injury and is helped off the field.

The crap thing is he took snaps and plays from someone that probably wanted them too.
