Bowl Game Projections

Barf. I’m fine with the liberty but god damned Memphis.

Good thing is hotels will open up.

Yet another reason why this just looks like a bad idea to play on your home field for a bowl game. Unfair to the other team, no fun for the "home" team, low revenues for the host city.

What... in your wisdom... do you think Pollard should be doing that he isn't doing regarding our bowl selection?

It's not like HE FREAKING chooses where we go... Jesus

Pollard is doing a great job. Not my point. My point was he told a flat out lie to the fan base by saying Liberty means more practice time. And if we play Memphis, they will have had one more week of practice than us.

Murph and Andy radio?

No he didn't say that. He said Campbell wanted the latest game possible to get more practice time.

Seriously..

Not to mention that "practice" time is the same for everybody... time together with their team mates is not.

"Playoff Revenue Pool: Each of the Big 5 conferences will receive an estimated $50 million, whether or not it qualifies a team for the playoffs. An estimated $6 million bonus will be paid for each team a conference sends to the semifinals, $4 million for participating in one of the “Big 6 Bowls”, but no additional dollars for reaching the championship game where each school will receive an estimated $2 million for expenses. Each of the “Group of 5” conferences (American, CUSA, MAC, MWC, Sun Belt), will receive an estimated $18 million each, Notre Dame will receive an estimated $3.75 million, and remaining independents will bag roughly $1.85 million each. Big 6 bowls that don’t host a semifinal game, will split additional revenue with the participating teams/conferences."

Still would be nice to say that the NC team only had one loss to ISU on the Sooners home field.

We beat the best team in the country on their home turf.

We sure as hell can beat Memphis on theirs. Christ, we might have more fans there.

It will be a good bowl environment because attendance will be 50/50 at worst like you say. And Memphis is a damn good football team. It will be a hard game. Great bowl match-up. Not so great playing in their home stadium.

Haven't found attendance for this year but last year Memphis averaged over 37k fans. I'd bet they averaged well over 40k this year.

What he **** are you talking about? He wasn’t comparing it to playing Memphis he meant that the Liberty was later on the calendar than the other Bowls we’ve been mentioned for.
