Bumping this thread to get some more suggestions. Collection is up to around 20 bottles now but I'm always curious to see what others enjoy.
You get to keep 3 from your current collection, gun to your head, what are you keeping?
I've really enjoyed the Obtanium BiB. The Blanton's makes the cut just because it's not easy to find. My 3rd would probably by Early Times. Definitely not my most expensive bottle but I'll be damned if I don't love it.
Rare Breed and Eagle Rare for honorable mention.

The Bonded version of Jack is pretty tasty. I want to get a bottle of the Triple Mash which I've heard is good.
I did not know drinking and exercise was 'a thing'. But what do I know?why is everyone even on the Templeton train still?? it's a mix made in Indiana then bottled in Iowa if I remember right. it has no connection anymore to the original other then name.

we have consumed more then a few bottles of their Prairie Fire on bike rides (like multiple bottles on a single ride) so I know they have some good stuff at least, but have never picked up the bourbon from them I have realized.
Can't comment on Iowa products, but for bourbon (in my price range anyway), Maker's Mark is always smooth.
As far as whiskey goes, I do prefer Scotch or Irish. Tullamore Dew is very nice, Jameson a tad better, maybe. Both very good. I haven't tried any of the very expensive stuff. Maybe someday I will. I wonder if any of that 'really good' stuff is worth the price (in any genre of alcohol)?
Still limiting myself to '2 drinks', at a time/day. I tend to over drink otherwise.
I tried some Cedar Ridge Bottled in Bond the other day. It was really solid and had an oaky taste,
I've seen some Ardcore around and I've heard it's good. Never been big on scotch but may have to try it.
Never got 114 but Old Grandad BiB is solid for the price and makes for a solid mixer.
I'm no connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination but there is a local distillery called Patriarch in Gretna and I thought their Soldier Valley Bourbon was very good.
Eww. No peaty, smoky, "used bandaid/locker room/ iodine aroma" liquid for me.
Not moonshine but Old Tom's Ransom aged gin might be my favorite hooch of any kind. Aged in French oak barrels. It's ridiculously good.
Yep, the rye bill and high proof make it perfect for mixers. Pretty tough to beat for 25 dollars.
