We had those two guys plus Jalen Coleman Lands, who scored 5 points in the KU game today, on last years roster. How in the actual **** did we only win 2 games.

Tyler Harris has been very effective as Memphis’ point guard, Bolton thriving off ball. Prohm definitely cashed it in by conference play last year. It’s sickening we had to pay him a buyout.
JCL would have done great at ISU this year but neither Harris or Bolton would have made up for their faults and chemistry issues. Many won’t agree, but I think we score more but net fewer wins with them.

Fair, but we had more than enough talent to win at least 10 games.
There is physical talent like vertical jump. There is also a talent to expend effort in a coordinated cooperative focused fashion on defense. As an example Memphis may have more of the first talent and ISU more of the second.
Simple, when those players are the most talented on the team combined with Steve Prohm you get 2-22.
When those same players are coached by Self or Few, surrounded by better players, and expected to buy into a role you get the results you are seeing now.

They did lose the opportunity to play some of the early easy non-cons. Two is not the shocking number due to that, zero conference wins is a lot more disturbing

Offensive talent, yes. Last year's team scored more points than this year's team. But we have far more defensive, effort, and teamwork talent than we did last year. Hence the 19+ win differential Feb last year.
All of them are also playing next to AA’s and lottery picks. Tends to help.

Lindell is a freak athlete, Bolton has (a little) better size and seems to be a better shooter. He’ll probably get a summer league invite and be able to go either G-League or Europe. Neither one (excluding Covid oddities) looks like much of an NBA player.
