You couldn't pay me to go shopping today. There is nothing I need that badly.
Do they know "their team" plays today? I always LOVE seeing mouth breathers in eiu gear out and about during a game that they are seemingly oblivious to.
I think when they need to grab a tshirt or sweatshirt, they see one for $10 at Walmart with letters on it that look the same as the letters in the state they live in (after studying it for 30 seconds to a minute), so in the cart it goes.
Went to Muscatine Menards at 8:30. Still pretty crowded, asked about Little Debbie snacks . . . . all gone by 8:30am. Did grab several jars of peanuts at $1.25
Yeah, this is what I am wondering too. I've been seeing ads online for black friday deals for the last week or two. Is there still a lot that are today only?
I grabbed some Switch games for half price at Walmart. Also snagged a discounted Paramount Plus subscription. But that was all online a couple days ago.

To me, it just seems like normal sales. Maybe an exception for something a retailer wants to get rid of.
I don't pay attention but had this conversation last night. It used to be all about TVs, but they're so cheap now I doubt the deals are very good. Remember my grandpa got my brother and I computers 20 some years ago on one and he's mentioned they were basically half off.
In general, it doesn’t seem like it. Got two PS5s last weekend for 100 off on each. Outside of that, we didn’t find much of anything.
Nope. A lot of places are following the Amazon model of jacking the prices up above original prices leading up to holiday season (often in Oct) and then returning it back down to original price to call it a "sale."
Most are just marked up prices with the look of it being on sale
Completely agree. I was looking for a 55” for the bedroom and it was $50 below MSRP. Even if it isn’t at that price later in December, $50 isn’t worth going out today. Maybe if you’re looking for a high end TV it’d make a difference. But Black Friday runs from November 1st to Christmas now. So the deals today aren’t that big of a thing.
