Bill Self praising ISU right now

I'm actually not sure the committee followed the above "assuming all measure..." part. Based on the above, they could have sent us to a different region or they could have made us the 6-seed in the Midwest.

Probably what the committee had in mind until KU went down and we won the Big 12 tournament. Since we did not play in the tournament the committee said OK let's see who is best now. I think we can beat KU, if they get that far. I am not sold on this KU team, especially if they don't take their refs.

I was hoping to play someone new. Not to mention, KU fans have been buying up those tickets for at least a month now. Need to get past the first two games (not easy), but I don't have any excitement for playing KU again.

This. Here's hoping they lose to Miami, we win 2, and all those tix in KC open up again. That would be sweet.

But as many have stated, we have the Cubs to think about first.

I get the desire for something new but this is the best possible scenario. Would we better off playing a potential sweet 16 game vs Villanova in New York? This way we get a team we are familiar with and beaten in our backyard.

I agree that he is probably doing it to light a fire, but I think he does respect ISU more than their fan base does. ku fans won't admit to this, but mizzou leaving left a void for a conference rival for them, and we are slowly filling that. I would love nothing more than to be the focal point for their fear and hatred.
Actually I go to their boards and they seem to hate us and compare our team and fans to Missouri quite frequently
