Bill Belichick interview

I look at UNC and think someone like Dan Mullen could have made them an 8 win type of team on average.

Just a moronic hire for BB.
Belichick's antics only work if they are wins to go with them. People won't put up with it without corresponding success. Being a standoffish prick doesn't garner much in the way of grace of he can't back it up on the field.

I’ve mentioned it before that an insider (who seemed to know his ****) on their 247 board was pretty positive they offered Campbell 8 million and didn’t even talk to them. It would be interesting to know if they tried anyone else before moving on to Bill. But based on this guy’s timeline they really didn’t have time to.

So he must be a heck of a performer to have a 24 yo girlfriend

The more that comes out, the more and more it’s clear how egotistical BB really is. The pettiness with the Patriots, the gold digging arm candy, the alleged “400 page manifesto” during the hiring process… this will all end poorly. So far it’s on track.

Bill may turn UNC around, he may not. But when it’s time for them to separate in X years, I believe UNC will regret this move in the end.

I agree. Also, how many parents are going to be ok with their children going to play football for the trainwreck. I would say not many. If my kid was offered by UNC that means he could be offered by a lot more. So I would rather you not go play for what I think is more of a crap show than Colorado is.

UNC has to be up there for “doing less with more.” Prestigious academic school, historically bad football rival (Duke), Jordan money, fertile recruiting footprint, close to major airport, drivable to mountains and beach, high number of T Shirt fans, etc.

They’ve underachieved in football basically my whole life. Today there are better programs to trust your kid’s future in. Basketball will always be #1 there.

And really, there’s a lot of competition for D1 FBS football in North Carolina now…
- UNC
- NCST
- Duke
- Wake
- East Carolina
- App State
- Charlotte

The Durham-Chapel Hill area is really nice (and they’re right next to each other). And there’s tons of tech money there in the Research Triangle.

Honestly out of all the players in this drama Ms. Hudson is the one doing her job.

Belichick is more than enough drama and dysfunction on his own.

My boss is a UNC grad... she's furious.
