W, Ku-Villanova

Since this is really a football-first conference, I didn't think most of you boys had a clue how bad B12 MBB may be this year as shown by its performance v. the Big East.

Big12 is down, but I think Big East is up.
Yeah, I think the Big East is way up. Hell, Depaul is 5-0 vs the other power leagues, Creighton 4-1, Butler is 2 pts from being undefeated.
Strong league for sure.
 
I didn't think this was a "challenge" just a scheduling alliance.

It does raise the question about NCAA tourney qualification. It may take more big 12 wins that some thought if the league is viewed as down. I think ISU would have to win 9 games and they'd have to be the right games. You would think splitting with KU, Baylor and Tech is a must. Tough to see many other quality wins, it may be more a case of avoiding bad losses. Probably can't lose again at Hilton without making up for it on the road. Beating Auburn could possibly replace one of those "must" wins.

Bob Huggins 2006-07 K-State team finished 10-6 in the conference play and did not get an NCAA bid.
