Big Brother 21

Cheering for:

Analyse - for obvious reasons - WOW, simply amazing
Holly - she seems intriguing
David - seems like he would actually be cool and real
Ovi
Sam - He could get annoying with his yelling and loud talking but he doesn't seem to be a DB

Not Cheering for:
Jackson - This seasons DB

The rest I am indifferent to right now. Jack is close to the DB category but I think if you got him away from Jackson he might actually be ok.

Sam is annoying as all hell but they're scripting him right now.
David is all but gone. I think he's going to be involved in a comp or so soon but unless there is a battle back don't count on it.

Ovi's potential has me excited. Unlike Jackson who wants short term safety, Ovi is thinking long term. Reminds me of BB10 when Dan while on the block threw the POV to appear weak long term.

Still makes me laugh that Holly and Kathryn know each other much better than Christie/Tommy, but CBS is ignoring it. It's not a spoiler as a simple instagram search has revealed all of this.

I like Ovi. However, he does not seem to be playing the game much yet. Unless they are not showing it. I also think The Jacks are pretty good dudes. They are playing them off as Bro's right now. Ill see if they are D bags or just being shown like that now.

I like Jack so far. If you think he's a dbag, you forgot Jace and Scott in season 5.

Ovi is doing all he should right now in my opinion. Why get too into the strategy when that's an easy reason to target someone. A live feed podcast is going to come on in a few minutes that I'll listen to/watch, so hopefully we'll get more of a picture of what's going on. Remember all that we have seen happened 5-6 days ago. A LOT has changed. Here is the link to whoever is interested however there are spoilers in it.

Looks like Kat and Cliff are up for eviction, but the plan is to backdoor Kemi

I believe this season is similar to BB6...This wasn't sloppy casting. Everything is calculated...a twist to garner more interest as the show was almost cut last year.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. It's either sloppy casting, or CBS did know and didn't care. They were out in front of it on BB6 and it was part of the game. Every single person in BB6 was apart of a pair as if you remember there were incentives. If a pair made the final 2, the winner got $1,000,000. Here there are 2 maybe 3 sets of people that know each other and the only reason CBS mentioned one of them was it was so blatantly obvious.

I don't mind twists that help speed up game-play early on. This twist was fine with me as it gave players a chance to campaign for the Camp Director, then campaign to not be banished. Even then if you did get banished you had a chance to come back.

What I hate are audience influenced twists because its so heavily skewed on what production wants to show you.

BTW the broadway guy, his name escapes me, is the guy I want out most. He is super annoying.

Do you listen to the Big Brother Gossip podcast. It's lengthy, but only once a week. Highly entertaining.

I haven't listened to that one, but am always up for BB content. I listen to Rob has a Podcast. They do episode recaps, and daily livefeed updates. I don't have time to watch livefeeds, so to get what's relevant from the day before summarized in 45-60 minutes is awesome. Plus, gives you the real picture of what's going on.

The LFC (live feed correspondents) also do a weekly podcast on Monday night where they rank each player from 1 to 10 based on their perceived position at that point in time in the game.

Then they play a stockmarket game which I think would be so much fun to do with folks here on CF. Based on the ranking, you get $20 bucks a week to invest in players and can buy and sell all year. Each week you get $20 more. The fun part is as the rankings change, so does the value of your portfolio. So if you bought 10 shares of a player rated a 2/10 ($2), and he/she gets HOH or forms a solid alliance and becomes a 4/10, then you just made $20 ect.

Sam wins the POV (hosted by KC from BB20). Sounds like he's going to use it to save Cliff. Kemi is a possible replacement but its still early. Also, for no apparent reason, a lot of the houseguests are over the top mean to Ovi behind his back.

Same here, love the show but this cast while having some good looking ladies is lacking in gameplay. Though any season would have trouble following last year's season.

I'd argue the first half of last year :) The second half really stalled.

CBS has no one to blame but themselves for the slow gameplay right now. The reason is because no one wants to make a crazy move with camp comeback happening. This should be the slowest week though. Their other big mistake is they cast too many recruits who don't know the game. Needs to be a mix. BB Canada game play has been miles and miles ahead and much more fun to watch because recently they casted a bunch of superfans. Their comps are also a lot more fun.

I find myself rooting for Cliff (he gives "Cliffnotes" on the live feeds every morning). Guy really gets the game and right now is playing a great "rat" game to the point where Gr8ful has said he's the last to go of the outsiders. That should give him time and hopefully the large alliance breaks. The other person I'm high on is Tommy. He by far has the best win equity at this point. Also have to give some love to Nicole as she's playing it pretty well right now. Kemi is hilarious on live feeds but not a good game player.

Jack gets an amazing edit for how ****** of a person he is. He says things like "I say hi to Nicole to make her feel better" and held two house meetings to make sure no one talks game to the camp comeback people. He's a great villain to root against I suppose.

Apparently Jack hooked up with Sis but wants Chrissy (even though she's a lesbian). Need to break up some showmances to get more game going. Nick and Bella hooked up but Nick still wants Sis. Jackson and Kat hooked up (he even bragged about it), but now wants Holly....I feel like Love Island already started.

As a whole, I'm pretty anti twist because they almost always backfire. In BB19 there was a twist to bring Paul back and then the rest of the season it was Paul and his minions. The Battle of the Block in BB16 was awful and slowed gameplay. Almost every single time we see a battleback, the next week is boring and we're just waiting for that person to leave again (Scotty last year). The game itself is set up perfectly with checks and balances to not need twists.

I'm enjoying it so far. IMO it always seems to settle into more of a sweet spot after a couple of weeks and a few are eliminated. I initially thought the Camp Comeback twist might be more interesting (originally didn't catch that is was only for the first four eliminated, thought it was going to accumulate until the battle back). Felt like there was potential for comeback players to blow up alliances and stir up a lot of drama since they were playing with nothing to lose. Turns out (and makes sense) they seem to be in the background a little more to be accepted back in if they'd happen to win the challenge to return to the house.

Also, drafted houseguests vs my wife for the first time so that helps me pay closer attention (similar to sports when I have a rooting interest).

Current favorites: Holly, Sam, Christie, Cliff

These people are really not playing very well. Except Miche. The HOH last week accidently spilled his alliance. The girl keeps telling people about the alliance. It's completely stupid. BTW I can't remember half the names still. Cliff just sat in a room talking to the camera's and gave up his game, even though it does not really matter since he is along for the ride at this point. I think they missed the boat on casting this season. The soccer girl is super hot, however, she is boring as hell and I forget she is in the game unless she is with Jack.

Just catching up. To echo the above post. Idiots. They’re all idiots.

People are getting some info from players and not keeping it to themselves to set them up later in the game.

Bella told Sam about the 8 person alliance and then told him he’s the 9th. How the hell do you think that is going to put you ahead of the game. Aqua man dropped the Gr8ful name to Sam. Like Jesus people.

I'm going to go on a rant here because this season as a whole has a huge downer. It's not necessarily even the cast (I get it...this cast has mostly duds to recruits). It's freaking CBS. These goddamn twists are ruining the game. All they result in is mob-like behavior and keeping majority alliances together. The game is ALREADY set up for checks and balances. Having these powerful twists stalls the game and creates safe moves.

From order of who I want to win from most to least: Cliff/Nicole/Sam/David/Ovi/Kemi/Tommie (though his behavior is getting worse)/Kat/Holly/Christie/Nick/Jackson/Jack/Sis/Bella

I put Bella last because she's a horrible person and is also a horrible game player. I put Jack ahead of Sis because while he's a racists monster, he's at least playing the game (no idea why the show gives him a good edit). They literally would have had a better outcome casting a porn star than Sis. All she does is say "wow" or "really" or "he said that?"...adds nothing to the game...oh and just has sex with Jack. There is nothing else to her. She's a complete waste of a cast member. Obviously casted because she's hot and nothing else.

I'm also going to explain in a spoiler (since it hasn't happened yet on the show) how horrible, self righteous, and condescending most of these people are.

So Gr8ful + Sam were up in the HOH and were completely trashing Nicole. It was a mob like mentality. Yelling, screaming, chanting ect. All for Nicole basically playing an honest game. Bella was throwing out lies left and right and while Six Shooter knew it was BS, they just went along with it so they could pile on Nicole behind her back. It was pathetic display of behavior and I hate Gr8ful more than any other alliance. The only one I can partially go for is Tommie, though the power is making him worse. So then Ovi can't handle it anymore and knocks on the door and says something like "guys this isn't cool" they basically justify their terrible behavior saying Nicole deserves it, then proceed to talk about how Ovi just threatened them. Then later, they talked about how great of people they are and how this is the best cast ever. FML
