I just don't understand the thought processes of all of the Detonators. Eventually you have to cut the chord with an alliance member.

Do they not understand that even if they take out one alliance member, the detonators still have majority numbers in the house? And whoever sides with Nicole/Donny wouldn't need to even worry about the next HOH.

Sad to see Donny go, but he wasn't great at the game. Expect the pairs to start going after each other, Derrick/Cody/(Victoria), Frankie/Caleb, Nicole/Christine. If the last 4 I mentioned knew anything they'd go right after Derrick and Cody.
