The coaches meeting is tonight so I'm not even gonna bother looking at first round matchups until after that.
Hello all,
new around here, happy to join y'all. Couple of predictions for this weekend and interesting matches that I look forward to.
Gomez/Fix: I think Austin getting closer to Fix each time they wrestle has been a good indicator of figuring him out. I think Gomez gets him in the finals 3-2.
Parker/Alber: Similar to above, he was so doggone close last time and in deep on a lot of shots he just couldn't quite finish. Another close match, that I think Parker comes out on top. 3-2
Degen: I think we see continued struggles with Jeffries's height and Thomsen's everything. A close win over Jeffries, with another easy decision for Thomsen.
Colbray: I didn't get to watch Greer wrestle this year, and finally saw a little of the potential Colbray has been hiding. Looking forward to the match, hope Colbray comes out on top.
Miklus/Weigel: Hoping he's doing well and should be an interesting finals match. Also, nice for Willie to get a rematch with Hokit.
Gremmel: Sucks to have Isley in the quarters, as he's always struggled with him. If he can pull that out, which I wouldn't be surprised either way, he should be able to deal with Nevills and then be on to the finals.

Degen beat Jeffries so all clear to cheer for Dante. There are 7 spots at 149 so that also means Degen is the first guy to punch his ticket to Pittsburgh.

Wow UNI has to be scratching their heads at some of the performances so far. Reminding me of the nightmarish performance last year where it seemed we peaked too early. ISU looks really good so far.
No kidding. I thought Degen was going to get put on his back 3 different times in the first period! And how about when Degen stepped over the standing Jeffries for the reversal in the first. Crazy!!
