Here's what appears will happen:
1. All current teams, minus aTm will remain in Big 12
2. Commish Beebe will resign
3. Interim will be named
4. Texas will agree to rebrand network and share Tier one and two money, plus NO high school games
5. New teams will be brought in to total 12. BYU for sure, plus others from a list of TCU, WVG,Louisville, Cincy, UConn plus others
6. TV Contract will continue
7. All teams will sign multi-year out plus major fee to leave
8. Prior to new TV contract, other teams may be considered if growth is desired

There will be a wait list of teams that want to get into the new Big 12 from Big East, MWC, Indep etc.

ESPN reported today that Big 12 is top football conference so far this year with SEC number two. Big 10 tailing badly. Value of conference will grow into future.

would be my dream to save the XII, and invite former big east teams to make the first 16 team super conference....

I think you meant Big 10 there.

Your plan makes sense to me. I hope you're right. This fan of the Black & Gold legion of doom does not want to see the Big 12 implode.

Although at times it has seemed unlikely or even impossible, I could see a scenario like this playing out.

My friends at work and I have beaten the conference realignment topic up to the point of exhaustion. More than once I've thought to myself just imagine the headaches the Big XII AD's and presidents must be having and, at some point, do Texas, OU and others say this is more of a pain in the *** than it's worth, we're staying put.

I like the 10 school format. Add BYU and call it good.

I would definitely prefer 12. That said, if we can't get a good 12 then 10 might be better. And if we are going to stop at 10, BYU is easily the best pick.

BYU comes if we only go to ten. Otherwise its probably Louisville, South Florida, and TCU.
I'm hearing BYU is a sure thing, just waiting in the wings and 2 "eastern schools" to grow our footprint and TCU will never join cuz us "also rans" will not let anymore texas schools in.
