Big 12 Refs Strike Again

right...I just mean NOBODY is getting that call, and we would flip out if that was called against us. Not saying it's right....but that's how they officiate.

as far as a small piece of our fan base....I dunno.....I mean some folks will ignore the massive number of dumb things we did all game....and the main reason we lost was that one call...which...is insane. Not all...but seems some are just looking for bad calls, which oddly are only bad when we lose.

I would have flipped out if one of our guys did that because it's an obvious foul. You shouldn't risk making that obvious of a push off with the game on the line like that. He's just lucky he got away with it.

Getting down 17 because we decided defense was for ******* is why we lost.

And then crawling within 2 in the same half, yet losing by 12 at halftime.

Horrible team effort tonight. Embarrassed with Niangs play all of January. Not meeting even half of his expectations this year. Missed easy bunnies tonight, stepped out of bounds simply running around with the ball, and decided to run into a trap with 3 seconds left and put up a stupid *** shot and leave two hot players wide open.
Niang, you ever pull that **** again, I will personally drill you on finding the open man until CFH forces out of our little practice session!

The problem is the refs are not going to see everything. They are not going to call everything.

My biggest problem with Refs at the college level and above, it seems like the average age of a football ref is 60 and the average age of a basketball ref is 55.

He passes it and BDJ misses, and people would call him a poor leader. It wasn't a good shot, but Georges is good at making bad shots.

The McKay goaltender was the worst call of the game IMO. Ball was barely out of his hand..

Worst call of the night is late in the game where Gathers pushed Niang, then went over Niangs back for the rebound, and Niang gets called for a foul. Thankfully Baylor missed the front end, but that was about as bad as the KU no charge lose ball foul.

Your problem is age? The age is a symptom of it being a good ol' boys club, rather than a merit based system.

I don't agree Doc. He passes to BDJ and BDJ misses, your argument is an open man's miss vs. a double guarded man's missed opportunity? George is a fine leader... more time on the clock promotes healthier decision making, it was clutch, but rather hurried in my opinion. (and his decision to put up a low %age shot really needed to be decided upon well before he got to the point of no return)

Haven't gone through this whole thread. Was it a bad no call? Yes. Was it even half as bad as some of the other calls late in key games? Absolutely not. It should have been called but, honestly, we've been playing with house money for a couple games now. No way we should have been 3-0 in conference play. Something like this was bound to happen.

Not going to beat this dead horse (even though it was a total push off). My problem is the "refs won't make that call because they don't want to decide the game" statement you always hear in these situations.
Doesn't swallowing your whistle and ignoring obvious violations equate to a ref "deciding the game"?
Sins of omission vs. comission I suppose...

That was an incredibly clear goaltend. Not any question about it.

There were tons of bad calls both ways in this game. That wasn't one of them.

Nearly 4000 posts and you don't know how cyclonefanatic works? Our guys will get criticized whether they make the right move or not.

1314 posts... and WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?! Do you know how CF works? (...I don't really want to know your answer, b/c I don't want to have to explain it to you twice) I realize the what the critics will say and do... But if someone's going to run their mouth and make a point, ...have a valid one for **** sake!

Because that loss is almost inexcusable.

We were WALKING twice on our transition D in the first 7 minutes of the game, which is why we fell behind 17.

And as soon as we were back in it, our defense started walking around again!

Lack of hustle was the reason we lost tonight.

Yup, that's it. I think our boys are spending too much time reading press clippings on how great we are and not enuff time prepping to get fast starts. It's weak to try and blame this on officiating, we didn't play hard 100% of the game. This team isn't good enuff to loaf.
