Blake can throw the rock. He isn't ask to in the Belldozer package. If he wins the job it'll be a slightly tweaked standard OU package but just with more designed runs. Im just saying there will be a legit QB race for OU in the spring. Knight will get his chance

He has played behind Landry Jones for 3 years now, if you include his RS first year. He now only has 2 years left, but there's a decent chance now that he might get passed over by an incoming freshman with huge talent.

Blake Bell was a 4 star QB recruit, and the 6th best QB prospect in the nation, coming out of HS. But he goes to OU, and might not ever see the field other than in goal line situations as a fullback basically. If this freshman beats him out next year, he may not ever get to show what he can do.

Now if he went to a school like Iowa or ISU, maybe he starts for 3 or 4 years and puts up gaudy numbers and ends up getting drafted. He then ends up being a decent backup in the NFL for several years and ends up being set for life. But instead, he went to OU, and never got that opportunity.

I think this is what Paul Rhoads can sell kids on when he's recruiting. You can go to OU or Texas if you want, but you might want to be prepared to sit on the bench for 4 years down there. Or you can come to ISU and play almost immediately.

They don't kill you, but they beat you. Plus I'd be shocked to see OU switch up their offense completely. I think Boomer was right on the money. They'll probably throw in more designed QB runs, but it's still going to be Sooner football.

So do running backs. The fact is that Bell's running ability as a RB is not as concerning as a QB that scrambles. Furthermore, OU adding in more designed QB runs is a positive for ISU, as would be OU trying to run the same offense with Bell that they did with Bradford and Landry.

So basically the point your making is that Oklahoma will not be as good with Bell as it was with Bradford or Landry at QB? That's probably true, but with the talent they will have on the field they will still be in the running for the conference championship.
 
So will patchall be back for tcu? If so he will be hands down best qb in the league I think. But that kid that backs him up is a stud too. He has been decent since struggling against us

If SBR plays reasonably well and we win the Liberty Bowl, as I expect, then the job will be his to lose going into next season. But CPR will, as he should, make him prove himself in fall camp. SBR has given me a reason to live since the KU game and I love him for that, but how cool would it be for CPR to announce next fall that "although Sam has done a fine job for us, Grant simply is too good to not play right now."

I remember reading an article that they haven't made a decision yet, but it was unlikely he would take another snap for TCU
 
If Rohach is "that good" he would have played as a true freshman like Boykin. Boykin didn't play super well in tonight's bowl game but I think he'll be better next year. I don't have as much confidence in next year as the rest of you all.
 
The Big 12 has had an incredible run over the last 6 years or so with QB's. I think the 2013 season the Big 12 takes a step back in that regard and drops to the # 3 or #4 conference. This is a fine time for a team to step up and finish in the top 3 in the conference that may not normally be there. I think teams with a shot for the top 3 are a couple of the usuals in Texas and OU but I think OSU and probably TCU will be there. If ISU had the 2012 defense in 2013 ISU would be in the top 3 but alas that is not the case.

Richardson/Rohach is the key. The D will step back some but I think the O should be better. If Messingham has another year of **** poor production (8th or worst offense in the conference) I think he is done. If ISU finishes #5 or better offensively in the Big 12 I think a top 6 finish is possible. I like what the Burnham's do for ISU on the defensive side.

I am hoping for some good things for ISU next year. 7-5 overall and hopefully a bowl win over a BCS conference team.

Boykin is a redshirt freshman and Rohach had 3 quarterbacks in front of him. Rohach also needed a redshirt year to get his body ready for the Big 12. So much fail in your post.
