Becoming a Dad Tonight!

Your life is changed forever. Just had my first in September, it's challenging but rewarding.

Congrats buddy.

I'm not going to lie, having kids isn't easy. Just remember to be there for your wife and the baby, no matter what. It can be stressful as crap, but it's all worth it.

Cherish every moment, even when they throw up and poop and pee on you.

Congratulations! Welcome to the Club.

Hope the little whippersnapper is healthy, along with mom.

Good luck with what will be one of the happiest days of your life.

Don't be afraid to tell people to leave so your wife can get rest. I'm guessing there hasn't been much rest since last night.

It's a long labor. People can wait for a bit.

from what I've heard, the nurses are happy to act as the door ***** as well and keep people out. If water broke at 5:30, that means they're down to about 19 hours on the clock. Hopefully he'll have good news by noon though.

Sooo, when are you going to need a door *****?

Oh goodness. I just pictured my new Mother In Law when my new wife and I eventually have a baby. Oh dear. We are in trouble.

Hoping no3 is in your arms!

You know Noe is not a bad sounding name. Or you can expand just a bit and go with Noah.

I've always liked that name.

I actually really like picking out names. I'll volunteer to be a baby name consultant for anyone in need.

We had a girl's name picked out that never got used many times over!

I'm getting impatient lol. Have to keep remembering that water broke with my first one at home and he wasn't born until 10 hours later. And I guess I don't have much experience with being induced, did go in for my appointment one time, already dilated to 5, and the doc sent me to the hospital and stretched the membranes, but never had the drugs for inducing to have any familiarity with how long it takes. Still bummed about basketball and anxious for some good news I guess. And of course the proud papa will have a family to take care of and relatives to call before he tells us.

hopefully no2 doesn't read this for a while, but boss went in for an induction on a Friday morning (week overdue and suuuuuuuuuper uncomfy by that point) and ended up with c-section baby Sunday afternoon. When I got the email I just sat there thinking about how much godawful time there is between Friday morning and Sunday afternoon. So. Much. Time.

Yikes! I knew I was pretty lucky with 10 hours on the first one, by the last one, lucky he wasn't born in the hospital elevator.

15 year old niece (husband's weird family) went a whole weekend in labor too. I thought maybe being young it might go smoother, but that apparently isn't the case.
