Is anyone else frustrated with him? I keep expecting a big performance or him to blow up but it hasn't come. He seems reckless at times and careless at others. There are definitely flashes of greatness, but not as much as were advertised. I'm not sure if he just hasn't bought in or if it's something else. I realize he's not Kane but I think we all sort of hoped he would be a leader in the same vain. I'm not giving up on him, I just think he needs to be big for us moving forward and I hope he gets it going.

People said the same thing about Kane last year. Went from seriously taking a game over, to excessive turnovers bullying his way around in the lane one too many times.

I think it worked out for him as the conference season progressed though. Just takes time.

He is playing good D and getting rebounds. Just has lost his touch at the other end of the floor. Maybe he is taking the play as a team thing a little too far.

They can't keep BDJ, Naz and Niang bottled up much longer. Hopefully they get their groove back and pick up 2 of their next 3.

Do that and you're right where you need to be.

To be honest I'm not seeing the ball movement that this team typically has. Usually the ball is flying around. It's easy to pick on him. If only there was some kind of method to help him relax.

Lay off the guy! He had 9 rebounds (team high), 1 assist, 1 steal, and only 2 turnovers. He only had 6 points, but only took 7 shots all game. Niang and Long were worse today and Nader hasn't done jack in the past few games. Why does everyone want to pick on BDJ?

I agree he needs to tighten up the dribble. I would prefer for him to take that mid range jumper from the top of the key, as I have seen him make that more consistently. He can really elevate on his pull up jumper and I think he would be better to mix up his drives with his pull up jumpers to make him less predictable.

Either way, the whole team in general has been off. For a good 5-10 minutes in the second half we looked like we would ull away, but Ok. State caught fire at the same time. Still, a win is a win. Even more so in conference play.

I have been impressed that BDJ hasn't been forcing things. Georges could learn a thing or two from him.

I can't even imagine this board if he had played as poorly as Georges did. That's not a knock on Georges either, just a commentary on the hypersensitivity to BDJ. We had 3 guys who played well tonight. The rest of the team...not so much.

Hoiberg is the master at letting guys play through their issues. We will be fine.

To clarify from my OP, I'm strictly speaking offensively here. I think he is a good defender and rebounder, I just expected more on the offensive side of the ball. I'm sure it'll come, just underwhelmed as of now with his scoring.
