Barnes ready for visits

well considering they both just played last year, i dont know. but what i do know is that both schools got a lot of national recognition and are rolling in some very high ranked recruits! thats pretty obvious. having freshman phenom means you will get tons of exposure and that definitely helps with the recruiting. also we have dykstra coming in, chim kadima, and maybe kyle kelm. then 2011 there are some very good recruits we are on, like chasson randle and tavian pomlee

That's the ticket. HB could be a momentum builder since we need some.

I see what you mean, but even then I think it's debatable. I thought the EE season would really propel us forward, and I thought the championships would make us a contender for a long time.

Since then we've only made the tourney once and our highest B12 finish has been 5th. IMO when I talk about changing the program I mean changing the direction of what happens on the court. The EE had almost zero effect even when Larry was here because he didn't get the players in to continue that.

I want Barnes to come here but his impact is completely overblown at this point. The Beazor led KSU to a great season last year but now they are picked to finish 8th in the conference this season. Getting Barnes would be wonderful - however getting talent on a consistent basis is the only thing that will really change our program and that falls on the coaches.

These comments are spot on. Without question, the person that has had the most impact on our program in the modern era is one Johnny Orr.

I don't think his impact to Greg's future is terribly overblown. If we continue to struggle AND Barnes goes elsewhere, especially to KU, I think Greg is in trouble. Pollard won't be hasty though. Greg was his guy.

I'm noit saying this is fair. Just reality. The seat will be hot.

a chance to be a legend and fan favorite at ISU has to be a selling point. Hoiberg should talk to this kid

What did you expect him to thow out a Tinsley reference?

"It is just another gym."

One of my friends has a friend who knows his mom, and apparently she told him that the chances of him coming here are not good. Hopefully the story was exaggerated before it got to me and that isn't the case Or maybe his friend just interpreted what she said that way and blew it out of proportion.
I'm just going to ignore anything I hear until he either commits here or doesn't.

have hope! I doubt he would have committed by now if he was going to pick ISU, to much on the line, he should def. take all the visits he wants before committing...

Well . . he won't be coming to ISU . . that is clear. Time to move on folks.

I have heard this as well. This is coming from some huge ISU fans with some direct connections to Harrison.

If Harrison does decide ISU, I will be completely astonished. Nevertheless I am a Cyclone, so I still hold some hope, but I am not going to let it feel like the "junk kick" once he desides elsewhere.

By reason of the Iowa State Curse, it must hold true that Harrison commits elsewhere. Or commits to us and suffers a career-ending injury. :skeptical:

I've also heard from people I trust that we're by far the favorite.

So, in sum, I don't think anyone really knows.
