Just watched this game......wow. It's on YouTube if anyone else needs to watch it before Monday

I've been wondering about how that game went. Seeing how close it was (69-74) has me worried. Gonna be a tough one.

I think Houston will be very good, but I feel like people forget how good Shead was and how big of a loss he is.
This. We outplayed them all 3 times last year, the game they won, Shead had an 8-0 run by himself (I think 6ft attempts) late in the first half and that was the difference in the game. He did that in a bunch of other games too. Cryer is good but he can't create for others or score like Shead could off the dribble, I think they'll be really good but take a step back from last year.

Auburn is hot and cold this year. A lot like we have been. The top 15 teams right now are going to be tough once teams start to figure it out. Including Houston and maybe Baylor

I’m too lazy to look, is Dishon Jackson the first big man with real size Johni Broome will be going against?

Houston is overrated and missing a lot from last years squad.

Agreed, it's a nod to their past few seasons but every team has a rebuilding year here and there.

I buy that their rebuilding year can still be top 25 but I'm skeptical of them as a top 5-10 team or defending Big 12 title.

I watched Auburn struggle for a half against a crappy team last night. They might be better than us but they can be beat.

No, they have faced teams with size. Houston had solid Big Men to match up with him. He’s just really good. I think Jefferson will do better on him than Dishon. I think he’s going to be too quick and athletic for Dishon but we will see.

Goes without saying but we have to hit our open threes and be competitive on the boards against Auburn. They are going to collapse and bang every time our guards drive the paint…..there will be open shots. Every rebound will be highly contested.

We know what will get from our 3 guards. J & J will get thrown in the fire and we'll see how they react to the step up in competition. This won't be the end all but could be indication of how long it'll take for those 2 to acclimate to big boy bball.

I'm guessing it won't happen: Auburn players will once again get in a "horseplay" situation on the flight to Maui, the plane will turn around somewhere over the pacific, Chaminade will sub for them in the tourney, we will handle them easily, and the complaints will start up once again about our creampuff non-con sched. :):)

Rebounding will decide the game, they are very aggressive. Also, we will HAVE to inbound through their full court press they start out in under their basket.

Yeah, my guess is Jefferson/Watson to keep him in check. Worried that Jefferson will get in foul trouble though.

lol our 10th man who's barely played so far this season will keep a 1st team AA "in check."

that would be awesome, but just a bit unlikely?
