Northwestern? I know they have a wealthy alumni base, but wasn't sure they would open up the check books for the athletics department.
Good lord
Pretty much one name: Pat RyanNorthwestern? I know they have a wealthy alumni base, but wasn't sure they would open up the check books for the athletics department.
He is worth over $8,000,000,000 so he has some pocket change for Northwestern.Pretty much one name: Pat Ryan
He might be the future majority owner of the Bears too once Virginia McCaskey dies. He is a minority owner now.
Agree, that stadium is a ********.The current stadium could be cool, but it's a total dump. Horrible wait for restrooms and just about everything else.
The new stadium will be cool. Much needed, but the old yard is historic.
Soldier Field will probably be their permanent home and main tenant after Bears would leave? That's insane. Must be hoping to attract other events. Maybe the Chicago fire?
35K? That’s border line embarrassing for P5 football. And even more so when it’s not even going to be sold out.Max capacity 35,000.
Wow, that's a lot of money per seat for a college stadium.
Wonder if they have the private donations secured for this already? They announced big stadium plans a few years back but never got the money. I can see the same thing happening again when KU starts racking up losses in conference and reality sets back in.
I live near CF and I would rank this near the KU announcement. I'll believe it when I see it. No one around here who cares about UNI likes that AD at all and it's very unlikely that this get's properly funded and if they do, it will get screwed up. It's honestly too bad.Panthers announced their plans for the Dome:
